As far as I know I have never had a nose bleed in my life until I started vaping. Just out of the blue my nose will start dripping blood. I will blow my nose and copious amount of thick blood will come out. I have to stuff paper towel in it for about 15 minutes before it will quit. I know it is from vaping. I will try the saline nose drops or the vaseline to see if that helps.

One reason you may be getting headaches from vaping is too much nicotine. At first I vaped 36 and would get headaches and a little nauseated. I cut back to 24 and now my body is use to the nicotine I am back up to 36 with no problems.

My nose has been more, uh, "productive" since I started vaping. I saw this device suggested in another thread. It's called a "Neti Pot". People have been using them for a thousand years. It looks totally weird, but from my experience taking steamy-hot showers, it also looks like it could actually work!

Yes Neti pots are totally weird and completely freaky the first time you use one...but the work very very well for cleaning/clearing out the sinus'.. just something un-natural about pouring a warm water/salt/baking soda solution in one nostril and having it come out the other..

So, you've used one? Give us the scoop!
Yup..like I said the first time it's totally weird to be pouring something up one nostril and having it drain out the other..but it really clears and drains your sinus...I've used it now to stave off oncoming sinus infections and sinus headaches..they usually come with little packets in the box to mix with warm water but it's essentually salt and baking soda to keep the ph levels in line..
But yeah you tilt your head slightly forward and to the side and pour in one nostril while breathing through your mouth...and it goes in and the way it pours it actually creates like a syphon to draw out everything out of the sinus..afterward you blow your nose and look and say "oh my god, where did all that come from" because you're seeing dirt and dust and other junk that you were storing up there forever like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter.
Actually I go camping every year and theres like 4 of us that camp together that are all neti pot converts...was funny because the one after the first time using it looked after he was done and I hear "blue confetti?...where the hell did that come from?...last time I was anywhere around blue confetti I was in 8th grade"...he just turned 38 this year, soooo..
And I work heavy construction so I'm always breathing in all sorts of workplace dust and debris so it's been awesome for clearing that out...
But, as it relates to my experience and vaping?...bout 4 days in I felt my sinus' start to drain and get dry..so used the neti pot..really helped to alive the constant feeling of needing to blow my nose and helped restore moisture, and made it easier to breathe.
they're pretty cheap too like between $10 to $14 and can get em at walgreens, cvs, walmart, etc... the first time you use one you use about half the "dosage" and it takes freaking forever because I guess theres so much that it has to get through and clear out...subsequent uses go much quicker progressively.. and yeah it actually helps you breathe better and clearer, and helps cut down on snoring because of that fact too..

Wow i was just looking his up on google looking for reasons why i get a sneezing fit :(... Well my life story is that my mom was in need of a kidney transplant..ect yea i gave it to her and very proud. But been 2 years now and all of a sudden for past couple of months i been either waking up with a sneezing habbits or tend to get them when am at work which sucks... But it started to happen mroe often since i started to vape. I always need a tissue and always on a fit.

Worst part about the entire thing is my stitches hurts like heck most times which i get pissy about. It's like one of the worst sneeze someone can get it hurts my entire body... But as i looked up it say my nasal can either be dehydrated... They suggest using a nasal gel and drinking lots of water. Which am yet to start (lolz)

The atmosphere always tries for a constant humidity level by evaporation. It's a lot easier to stay hydrated when it's humid outside than when it's dry. In dry weather some of the water in your body evaporates. The membranes in your nose are thin and porous so you'll lose moisture there first.

As others have said, stay hydrated and use saline. (Regular spray, Neti pot or pre-mixed sinus cleanser.) I can't post links yet (too new), but there's an article at USNews' website called "Stuffy Nose or Sinus Problems? Here's a Fix" Their recipe for the saline solution (if you want to make your own) is:

  • ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt (kosher salt has no iodine or other additives)
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking soda (to buffer the solution and make it less irritating)
  • 8 ounces of water
The other thing that will help a lot is a humidifier. Give the air more water and it won't take it from your body. If you don't want to buy one or hate the maintenance, try boiling the occasional pot of water. Also, my grandmother used to put little bowls of water on or under the radiator -- the cheapest, most maintenance-free humidifier available.

I have a deviated nasal septum. I've always had one side of my nasal cavity plugged up more times than not. Since I have been vaping my nasal cavities have been relatively clear. My snoring has even decreased.

I would venture a guess that the increase in exhaled moisture during vaping. Softens the... um... mucous and helps keep the nasal passages clear. If they dry out, a common problem in the winter, you would get nose bleeds. My daughter has gotten winter nosebleeds all her life.
I'm not a doctor but it makes sense that if you have an allergy. A clean nasal cavity might expose more histamine sites.

If I had a bogey fetish this positive side effect might cause me some grief. But I don't, and I do enjoy finally being able to breathe fully through my nose. I haven't had a winter nosebleed yet.
