Hey there N.M...I am new to vaping and to the forum. Just curious if anyone knows of any places off hand that are PV friendly in the ABQ area?

So far just about every place I have tried has been friendly. When I first started I had to explain it to a few people but now I don't even think twice about it in bars (most places I set my PV and liquid right on the bar/table in front of me). I am not quite as obvious in restaurants but no issues so far.
I honestly haven't tried anywhere yet. I still treat it like smoking.
I've had very negative experiences with people here and smoking, so I always tend to get FAR away from people in public when I smoked. Still do it when vaping as well because I'm just sick and tired of the dirty looks and under-the-breath comments. I tend to want to get violent (don't worry I never do, but I don't like the wonderful thoughts) with passive-aggressive people that act like they are dying when they are 20 feet away OUTSIDE. I know it smells, boy do I smell smokers now, but taking it over the top is just annoying....so I really haven't had any interest on pushing my ecig....
Been dying to go to one of the casinos like Sandia to see the reactions to it though...

No problems at the Casinos either. I have had people ask me what it was at the tables, but usually the dealer answers before I do.
I just got my 510 last week and my son came over to check it out. He told me he was sitting at a table the week before (at Sandia, I think) and saw a player with a PV that looked just like mine and the guy had no problems at all using it. Now he's really intrigued about going the vape route and stopping smoking....yay!!
Yeah the wife and I went to Sandia Friday evening for dinner and I was vaping in the restaurant right after downing like 5 pounds of crab...we went out onto the floor and there was a guy at the Roulette table who also had a PV on him where we were playing...we were on opposite ends of the table though so I did not have a chance to talk to him.
We also went back on Saturday for the fiery food show and I was vaping there as well. You are not allowed to smoke in the hotel part im guessing, one guard even stopped me on our way in and asked "is that an electronic cigarette" to which I responded "yes sir"...he waived me in with no problems and said "I wish more people used them so the whole place wouldn't smell like ...".
No one else ever said a word to me.
I thought it would be difficult being there engulfed in Analog smoke...Not bad at all...I noticed that I could smell it on me when we came out though 8-o
That's my biggest concern on going to the casinos. Now I'll be the one bi**hing about smelling like cigarette smoke!

You are so right! I know someone who smokes and also lives with 4 other smokers and I can't stand to be around him anymore he smells so bad. And I could never point out other smokers in the store before, but getting near them, you can just tell who smokes and who doesn't now!
yeah, I haven't really had any issues with public vaping here. I even smoked in the rio 24 but I blew it down in the seat... one of my favorite places to vape is in the bars though for sure. Especially now that it's getting cold, I feel sorry for all those suckers, errr, smokers that have to go outside.

I had a smoke nazi report me one day and I loved it! I walked past her in a dollar tree store vaping and I know she saw me and was shocked but I played it cool. 2-3 employees started following me and watching me it was so obvious but I had already stuck it in my pocket.
I knew the .... had reported me for smoking and was wishing the employees would stop me and ask me. But I just cooly kept shopping and never said anything as I was enjoying the show of and the all the upset this lil nazi was causing by reporting me for "SMOKING".

LOL, I'm the same way. I vape just about everywhere, though I have never really had a problem, I do sometimes gets funny looks from people.
I know some people advise against this as they don't want to make waves, but I disagree. I say why not vape as many places as you can to get the word out. I'm still amazed how how many people ask me about my PV and I enjoy telling them. I am very proud of the fact that they helped me get off analogs and hope to share this gift with anyone who cares to know about it.

Not in the ALB area, but if you ever make it down to LC... The Game and Hurricane ally both support it. Owned by the same person.
I had to go to the emergency room at UNM a few weeks ago.I vaped outside and inside also;did'nt make it obvious but did'nt hide it either.NO ONE made any comment.
I went to Marble Brewery and was vaping right at the bar for a couple of hours. The bartenders were way cool. I love that place, and there oatmeal stout is fantastic
I lived in LC from 2000-2006 while going to state, hurricane alley is a cool bar, and I enjoyed going to watch the Liars play there. I miss golden bull (if you remeber that place), they had the best fried zuchinni ever!
It was a Doctor at UNM that got me onto vaping! Told me some of his patients have been able to get off cigs with that electric cigarette and I should look into it. I reluctantly agreed, so I came home and started researching and the rest is history. I'm so thankful to him!
I vape everywhere and anywhere. Employees at public places are more knowledgeable of what it is than the general public, but more and more people are becoming aware. Am in Albuq., lived here forever, but tell me "Where in the hell is Appleturkey, NM??" Ha!
