A Kr8 is a Kr8 is a Kr8, whatever the brand name. The manufacturer, Kanger, has produced various versions and improvements, so there is some variation among suppliers, depending on what batch they have. Some suppliers (e.g., Vapor4Life and NHaler) have specified the flavors of
e-liquid to be used in the cartomizers ... and, of course, the "packaging" (colors, logos, labeling) varies.
Some
batteries have 5 second cutoffs, others 10-second. They are available as automatic or manual switch, in three sizes: short (unspecified length and mAh, only stocked by V4L), regular (penstyle-sized battery, 280 mAh), XL (380 mAh).
It is sold by myriad suppliers and under several brand names, including:
NHaler (KR808D-1),
Vapor4Life (Vapor King),
PureSmoker (Ace),
CigEasy (Easy),
GoodProphets (VapoRite),
LeCig (D1), and
VaporKings (KR808D-1). Those are just the ones I've dealt with.
CigEasy tends to have the best prices, although Puresmoker's $30 2-battery (manual), no-carts kit is attractive (especially for someone like me who doesn't like Kr8 carts*). All other suppliers are quite reputable. V4L has very loyal, vocal fans ... NHaler (Vapy Award winner) ... I've recently read positive reviews of LeCig (whose Kr8s supposedly are not manufactured by Kanger).
* I much prefer the more expensive GreenCig carts, available only from NHaler and LeCig. Those carts work well on Kr8 auto batts, but don't work at all on manual batts (other than with an adapter, available from NHaler). I also use Kr8 batteries (with adapter) with my penstyle (e.g., DSE801, Joye302) attys.
