it should be noted that the vapor king that is referred to within the Vapor4Life subforum and website is ONLY available from Vapor4Life.

Before everyone piles on, allow me to clarify, KR808D's are available from other suppliers, But the Vapor King mentioned in the V4L Subforum is available only from V4L.

There is much controversy about whether this is a regular KR808 or not (I personally believe it's not), but that was not the nature of your question.

The Vapor King is the same as a regular KR808D-1, the only difference is they use the old style batterys with solid ring in the center post and there is 4 holes drilled instead of 2, it's an attempt to make it vape better, but in reality it just makes it really 'airy'... can't stand it myself, also the quality is cheaper, hence why people batterys are breaking all the time, i see people moan about it all the time in their forum aswell as their duff cartomizers (I've experienced it first hand i have a pile of their stuff sitting here) The original Kanger made batterys are the best quality and have the best draw.

A Kr8 is a Kr8 is a Kr8, whatever the brand name. The manufacturer, Kanger, has produced various versions and improvements, so there is some variation among suppliers, depending on what batch they have. Some suppliers (e.g., Vapor4Life and NHaler) have specified the flavors of e-liquid to be used in the cartomizers ... and, of course, the "packaging" (colors, logos, labeling) varies.

Some batteries have 5 second cutoffs, others 10-second. They are available as automatic or manual switch, in three sizes: short (unspecified length and mAh, only stocked by V4L), regular (penstyle-sized battery, 280 mAh), XL (380 mAh).

It is sold by myriad suppliers and under several brand names, including: NHaler (KR808D-1), Vapor4Life (Vapor King), PureSmoker (Ace), CigEasy (Easy), GoodProphets (VapoRite), LeCig (D1), and VaporKings (KR808D-1). Those are just the ones I've dealt with.

CigEasy tends to have the best prices, although Puresmoker's $30 2-battery (manual), no-carts kit is attractive (especially for someone like me who doesn't like Kr8 carts*). All other suppliers are quite reputable. V4L has very loyal, vocal fans ... NHaler (Vapy Award winner) ... I've recently read positive reviews of LeCig (whose Kr8s supposedly are not manufactured by Kanger).

* I much prefer the more expensive GreenCig carts, available only from NHaler and LeCig. Those carts work well on Kr8 auto batts, but don't work at all on manual batts (other than with an adapter, available from NHaler). I also use Kr8 batteries (with adapter) with my penstyle (e.g., DSE801, Joye302) attys.

DonDaBoomVape, as usual, covered the important bases :) ... and without the partisanship you sometimes see on the KR808d-1 issue.

V4L is certainly reputable. I personally don't like the logo on the batteries, nor do I like the prefilled cartos. This is obviously a matter of taste more than anything. There are several equally reputable companies selling KR808d-1 starter kits and parts.
Other than the ones DDBV mentioned, HealthCabin and Heaven Gifts offer low-cost, same-quality KR8 parts if you're willing to wait for shipping from China (good for stocking up on blanks and batteries, especially if you can do a co-op order with somebody else to get the free shipping over $250 from HealthCabin). And so on. Any supplier you're wondering about, just search for reviews on this forum.

V4L has their own unique line of flavors in prefilled cartomizers, so they'll taste different from the KR8 prefilleds you get elsewhere, and they have a much wider range of flavors if that's your bag. I much prefer blanks.

There are sometimes differences among the batteries (cut-off times vary on the XL batts), and some KR8 cartomizers have a difference design (specifically Nhaler's new ones), but any well-reviewed supplier of KR808d-1 parts can supply you with what you need.
