Hey folks!

I finally got my prodigy v2 adapter replacement. It was sent about 10 days ago and probably got here a few days ago, but the weather has kept me off the roads.

I was planing on sending the broken adapter back, but went out of town and when I got back, bad weather hit here (as I mentioned) and just now let up today. During that time, I tried using the adapter again and it was working...but the vapor would dissipate after about 3 or 4 pulls.

I put the new adapter on and it's got some crazy throat hit! But...I noticed the vapor was still dissipating. Well, I know how batteries like these will die out even if they're not used, so I put two on charge until it turned green. Fresh batteries in and still having the same problem. If I put it down for 5 minutes or so and then pick it back up, I can get another 2 or 3 good puffs before the vapor dissipates again. I also notice that the unit feels quite warm during that time and when I pop the batteries out, they are very warm.

Is this normal? I am only taking about a 3 or 4 second drag on it. I was going to hold onto the broken adapter for a few days just in case I need to send everything back. If anyone reading this has had this problem or might have a suggestion, please help!

I've been getting bummed out about the v2, but I know things happen and I'm trying to not let it get to me. :)

Thanks,

Trip

could be the switch and not the adapter issue..

there is a stcky post on switches at pure smoker forum.

check that out to see if your switch is corrected positioned.

Ah, I must be blind. I didn't even see that topic. Thanks doots! I'll go have a look. :)

Edit : Still doing the same thing after troubleshooting it and doing all the little tweaks. The 2nd set of batteries got the atomizer hissing and heated the vapor and all, but went away fairly quickly. How long do these batteries last on a charge? Maybe the batteries are messed up. I don't know. :(

I had the same problem but it was with the ggslim. Got a few puffs then nothing put it down for a few minutes tried again and then the same thing all over again. It was the batteries. I found 1 good one that worked fine and since have received a few more. Everything was up and running. Threw out the old batteries. What was funny when I tested them on the multimeter they registered fine but I guess they didn't have any more umph.

Good call! It's definitely battery related. I narrowed it down to a single battery. Looks like I'm good to go now. I burned out an atomizer, not expecting anything to happen, though. Time to order some batteries and atomizers...and some more juice...and maybe an 801 adapter and some atomz. And and and...:D
