If you are using an atty for the first time it can take a while to break-in. It can take 1/2 an hour, or 1/2 a day. Usually they'll start producing good vapor after an hour or so. It seems like the more primer fluid that there was in it to start, the longer it takes. That's been my experience anyway. I just got some 901 atty's and an adapter to use them on my 510 threading. The atty's have no primer fluid in them at all and are good to go within about 1/2 an hour. I've had 510 atty's that were just dripping with primer take a long time to work right.

Can you give us some details on how you set things up? Are you using a pre-filled cart, a drip tip, a cartomizer? If your atomizer is gurgling and you have little vapor it could be "flooded" (too much liquid in it). If that is the case you can blow into the end the cart plugs into while holding the battery end into a napkin or paper towel. At that point it will probably need a couple drops (2 or 3) of liquid and you can try again.

Also, what kind of liquid are you using?

and you get vapor when you exhale?
Yes, you should get a good amount of vapor from a 510 setup.

Don't worry, we'll help you figure out what's going on and get you up and running.
There are a number of factors that could be involved here, and we'll help you sort through them.

Well, others will help, I have to go get dinner right now.

What juice are you using? If it is 100% PG then you may get little vapor when you exhale. PG vapor dissipates quickly.

I like juices with at least 30% VG like 70pg/30vg. PG lets through the TH of the nicotine, VG smooths the inhale and adds more visible vapor that hangs around a bit longer. Try 50/50 for even more vapor and less TH.

I am getting a lot of vapor with a 510 + cartomizer and 50/50 juice (a juice I have that only was offered in 50/50).
Cartomizer I am using:

To see the most vapor on exhale, exhale right after you inhale. The longer you hold it in your lungs, the less vapor on exhale.

And know how to use your batteries to get the most vapor.

Drag slow - dragging fast just dilutes the vapor with air

Manuals (preferred) - press in, about 1/2 to 1 second later start dragging.... before your drgais done let up the button and drag for another second to get out the rest of the vapor

Auto - if the atty is cold do a fake short drag first to warm it up, then your real drag

Why do you want more vapor on exhale?

If you are not exhaling vapor, then the 510 isn't producing enough. As the above posters mentioned, you may be flooded. Take the atty off and blow throw the small end and hold a towel over the other end. Blow several times until you get a dime sized spot of fluid on the towel. Re-assemble and vape.

When you fill your carts, don't keep filling until the juice pools in the cart filler. Stop as soon as you see slower absorption. If you pool it, use the bottle as an eye dropper to suck the excess back into the bottle.
