Okay here we go...............well I got my Vaporescence stainless steel tank and my new cartomizer out and I am ready to stuff it with a littler Innovapor Ultra-Pure 36 mg. so I fill my little rubber cap with about 20 drops and stick it on the end of the cartomizer. And then I get out my little alligator clip and grab the end with the cap and I commence to swinging around and around. Of course this is supposed to soak the carto evenly and get it ready to twist on your mod of choice. Well as I am swinging this thing like I am at the NFR finals trying to catch a calf the juice comes out the other end and a drop hits me square smack dab in my eye. Oh my God.............needless to say, my wife looked at me like I was stupid and my kids were laughing as I was screaming in serious pain. It was worse than getting a shot of pepper spray. I have never felt pain like that ever before. So from now on I will just let my wife do it!!!!!!!! Hey honey, could I get you to do me a quick favor!!!! I don't know why I always have to learn the hard way. Today I think I al ost have my sight back but not all the way............welcome to my world of vaping.

I've been there, too. It's just one of the initiation rites a new vaper must go through. It's like when knife collectors say that a new knife isn't really yours until you've cut yourself with it. Same with nic juice, I guess. You need to feel its bite before you can really respect it. Having had this experience, you can now call yourself a true vaper. Conga rats! :toast::D

Sounds like a good argument for the method I use - the "thermometer shake".

Those old enough to remember glass thermometers with Mercury in them... Nah - I won't ask ya to raise your hands. ;)

One twist I saw on the "spin method" was to use a relatively heavy gauge plastic bag that was stapled to be a tubular shape, if this makes sense. The carto was slipped down into it and when you spin it if anything comes out it gets caught by the bag.

A medicine bottle or a cigar tube can be good too. Make a couple small holes opposite each other near the top and run a piece of string or fishing line thru them, kinda like making a bucket handle sort of affair. Clip on to that to spin. Again, any escaping juice it trapped there in the tube or bottle, keeping your eyes safe.

I have to wonder if either of these methods were inspired by an experience like yours? ;)

Best wishes on a quick recovery. The pain should be short-lived, hopefully the knowledge gained is long lasting. XD

Ah, juice in the eye. I've had it just blowing out a cartomiser, so just a drop, but boy it stings! I knew there was a reason I've been using patience and then topping up rather than the whizzing round method!
I've seen this mentioned before and "juice in the eye" always reminds me of the Marlon Brando line in Guys and Dolls when quoting his Daddy's advice on gambling - don't know if anyone else remembers this? I know, that really dates me!

Yup, juice in the eye really stings.

I have found the Taryn spin to compact the juice too much and cause cartos to get a tight draw even collapsing the air tube. I think a syringe is the easiest, next easiest is the condom method and finally the drip and shake method. With a syringe I just fill it up with juice, suck out the excess and vape; quick and easy.

Since I have a tank on the way, it may not matter much anymore though.

I got juice in my eye once to but totally different way. I had made some 32 mg DIY and was topping off a carto when the dropper top on my bottle popped off and of course a FEW drops went straight into the ole eyeball lol. So there I was blind with hands, clothes, and face cover in juice. Needless to say it was a terrible experience and after I finally got the stinging to ease up I got to clean up the rest of the mess. I now make sure the tips are VERY SECURE before dripping anything!

That was the exact same thing that happened to me, but with 24mg. LOL In the kitchen pressing the plunger in on the syringe and POP! (no luer lock on the plunger lol) nic juice everywhere on the counter, my eye burning like crazy and juice still coming out of the syringe that I am still pressing on like a dolt lol now i dont hurry with my plunging lol
