Vapor Tongue

I looked it on (Google) and found this might be interesting. It's called Vapor Tongue, however, almost everyone seems that the lost their sense of taste. Me on the other hand I somewhat still have my sense of taste, but my tongue feels like it's bigger or swallon in my mouth. What have the most of you done for this "Vapor Tongue"?

Changing flavors helps a lot - even switching to flavorless for a couple/few hours. Drink a fair amount of water and brush your teeth too.

I always have (a) flavorless, and (b) straight lemon flavored juice on hand. Both keep my palate in decent shape.

I haven't heard that phrase in a long time. I dealt with that briefly, when I was making the major transition from smoking to vaping. It was brief (maybe a few days), and I swapped through some different e-liquid brands. It was during that first 30 day period from smoking. Again, it only took me a day or two; after that, I was good.

Uh, never have experienced that. But I have a solid dozen mods going all the time, all different flavors. Switch off often.

I used to vape off all my crappy tasting juices. I say used to, for I now vape unflavored.

A swelled up tongue doesn't sound like a vape problem, unless maybe you're allergic to the juice you're using. I haven't seen anyone mention that before.

A strong menthol did the job for me. I could always taste menthol even when I had vapor's tongue, and it seemed to clear out the blockage.

I agree with @WorksForMe. Tongue swelling isn't usually a part of vapor's tongue and could be an allergy to something in your juice. It could be the type of VG, ie coconut, palm, etc. Do you have any food allergies? It could also be the PG. I'd start with vaping flavorless PG and see if symptoms resolve. If so, then cautiously add some VG, making note of the source plant and see if a particular type causes symptoms. If vaping plain PG doesn't help, then switch to plain VG, which you can cut with a bit of distilled water to thin. Once you determine if you are or are not allergic to PG and VG, then try single flavors, one at a time. All this assumes you know DIY juice making. If you are using commercial juice, try switching between brands, and try 100% VG juice as well. It could be tempting to ignore this if your symptoms aren't severe, but I wouldn't recommend this as allergies can worsen.

I’ve never had it myself. I vape high vg. I can vape pg, but it doesn’t reliably agree with me. I’ll just take the extra calories.

Try brushing your whole mouth with arm & hammer toothpaste or just plain baking soda daily.

Drink lots of water, VG and PG both can dry your mouth. Vapor's tongue usually refers to a temporary inability to taste the flavors of your vape. It's common when you first start vaping. You don't lose the total sense of taste, you just can't taste the vape. It usually resolves itself.

Drink more water. Staying hydrated can help relieve dryness and reduce potential irritation or swelling of your tongue. Try changing your flavors to prevent flavor fatigue.
