I thought this old theory was proven wrong? Thought that taste buds are pretty evenly distributed.

Hadn't heard that, but could be. Remember where you read it or heard it?

It can make your tongue feel mighty raw if the vapor hits the same spot numerous times through the day.

I've actually done this from day 1. I just kinda thought everyone did it.

This sort of ties in though to the "Mouth Hit vs. Throat hit" thread that's somewhere around here. Some people not only don't do this, but they don't even allow the vapor to fill their mouth before inhaling it. You can suck the vapor straight from the e-cig into your lungs with no stopping at your mouth. It's quite harsh in my opinion. Requires me to take some breaks between big puffs. For the quality of the taste though, I prefer the "Tongue/Mouth Hit" every time.

Tongue Map Myth Link There are many other places to read about it, this is just one of the most reputable.

I've been letting the vapor hit my tongue from the beginning too, never had any problem with a raw tongue. I do get a raw throat if it hit's it repeatedly though, so after it hits my tongue I kinda swish it around in my mouth before inhaling, and usually exhale through my nose to get the full flavor.

This is dangerous as I've now come to kinda like getting a little of that 36mg straight. I know it can lead no where good.

Actually, I notice if I do that I don't constantly vape. I will have more analog type breaks. So, it must give you a little bit. Can't be much. The 1/2 life of nic in the system with the break ....I'm not worried abt it.
