Well after playing around all day with my new toys, I can definitely say a few things. The 36mg whiskey in a blank cart is great. Smells like the real thing and tastes close, a little choclatey maybe but close. Second, 2 of my shorty autos have the long cut off and one doesn't. The short cut off is definitely my back up. And lastly, this will getting rid of the analogs easy, but i'm pretty sure my nicotine intake is gonna go up. I just keep trying all the flavors i have. And put in another order for 6 more flavors last night. And my first order arrived yesterday afternoon. Oh the poor bank account.
Since I couldn't edit that last post I'll add another, the battery I thought had a short cutoff doesn't it seems. Apparently it just takes a little harder draw to keep it going. Got used to it and it's all good now
# auto shorties and a few carts and I don't see any reason I won't make a 12 hour day at work without a problem. It seems like just one battery will last me most of a normal day.

Hi, I'm new and this is my first post. I just placed an order for the Ultimate Manual Starter kit.
This is actually for my husband, not for me. He smokes about a pack a day (sometimes more) of American Spirits, regular. I got him the tobacco sample pack.
He has been talking about trying an e-gig for several months now but hasn't acted on it, so I am "helping" him out by placing the order for him.
It's all a little bit confusing to me. The more I read here on the forum the more confusing it got. It all makes my head hurt a little bit. I am not sure that I made the best selections but I was weary of reading, got more confused, and just wanted to place an order already!
I selected the chrome battery and now, after the fact, I realize that the battery is the part that he will have in his hand and will drag on? Oh, if I knew that I wouldn't have gotten him anything shiny. Shoot.
Also, I still don't know if what I bought is a 2 piece or 3 piece set-up. The whole "atomizer" thing... whatever that is...

Welcome to V4L Chee, and your husband is one lucky man to have someone care enough about him to do this for him!! It is a lot of information on the boards and I remember looking through everything and being so confused at first too!!
The chrome battery will be in his hands, but the cart will be in his mouth, so he won't put his mouth on the chrome part, but he will hold it.
The Vapor King from Vapor 4 Life is a 2 part set-up with the atomizer built into the cart. So when the cart is out of "juice", you can either refill it, or just toss it. It is a much easier device to use, and I think you make a great choice.

Just wanted to say hello - I've been lurking around on the V4L subforum for a few days and just placed my first order for a VK kit! I have an eGo arriving tomorrow so I'm hoping the KR8 will be the perfect complement for when I'm out and about and don't want to look like a fiend dripping at the bar! I started with a 402 but quickly learned I needed more - more room in the cartridges and more convenience!
Thanks bornagainst for the help earlier, and everyone else for their valuable posts that help me come to the decision to purchase the VK through Vapor4Life. I've heard nothing but great things about Steve and the crew and needless to say I am stoked!!
I'll be sure to report back once I get my gear, though it'll probably be a little while as I'm north of the border. Thanks again!

Welcome Chee Chee (and husband). I am willing to bet that your husband is absolutely going to LOVE his KR808 from V4L! Excellent choice! I feel your pain when you talk about information overload! I felt the same way @ first. Just remember that if you have any ??'s or concerns just come onto the forum ~ I have always found everyone here so incredibly helpful it sometimes brings tears to my eyes! (Even when I asked some really DUMB questions ~ they have always been here for me!)

I ordered the VAPOR KING-Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic Kit. I have used the GS before and hear this is better than GS. Currently I direct drip with a SS Choice No. 7 micro PV. it is something like a smoking everywhere model. It works well but I miss the GS. If the vapor king is better, I can't wait!! I was looking for something that is cheaper than GS on replacement parts. I have had my micro for a while and the batteries are dying so I thought I would go with the vapor king.
Great choice on kits! That is the kit I got also. I love V4L, but I have not used any others, but I have no reason to want to. The customer service and the community out weigh anything I could get from any other vendor!
I have a question about the cut off time on the battery. The GS has a 3 sec. cut off time which drives me crazy. Is the cut off time on the VK longer??

So I just received my starter kit today from V4L and I had to chime in and say how awesome it was! As a super newbie - it was a small one to test the waters... they threw in extra stuff?!! They threw in 3 carts for me to try!!
I had seen posts that they really watch out for their customers but as a first time buyer with no previous order history I certainly did not expect that. It is rare to be treated that way even at our individual local haunts but I can honestly say I have never had that sort of gesture made on an online purchase Any company that treats it customers that way will gladly have my repeat business and not just for the bonuses ( I did love it though!!) but because whoever picked them put thought into what a stranger might like based on my other choices!!
Sometimes it is nice not to feel like just another order # on the assembly line ... so cheers to Vapor4Life!
