V4L went out of their way to try to make you happy, spending a lot of money in the process, and you're already complaining. Did you really expect them to spend the $100 in addition to the $250 already replacing your order?

i forgot about this part .... went out of their way ! OMG.. you can't be serious .. they did absolutely NOTHING !!!!!!!! not even an email - just a PM after they saw this on forum and that's all

and you, spending time to actually go on USPS website to try to prove me wrong and how V4L a good supplier ...when if fact you didn't even know what is this all about
How do they pay you ? in supplies ? better ask for cash, quality is not so ...

Hmm...PM'ing you to say that they would re-ship at no cost to you is NOTHING? Did you expect an email saying the same thing as the PM? Why is that necessary?

Yes, because expecting a package this large from the central US in 3 days is just silly. I didn't try to prove you wrong, I did. With a link directly from the post office to back it up. This order cannot fit in a small flat rate box.

when if fact you didn't even know what is this all about
What is this about then? Clowns? Puppies? I must have missed something then, because I'm pretty sure it was about a review of V4L that was posted without merit.

No, the only reason I'm sticking up for them is because they're a great company with excellent customer service.

Wait...actually they gave me a couple cartos for free(like they do with everyone else)...I must be in the company pockets!

And, as I stated before, all Kanger (KR808, etc) equipment is made at the same factory. I don't know why you keep talking about the quality...

EDIT: And I didn't notice this before -

so as for AU Customs, they can't confiscate them, it's illegal - who says that is full of crap, importing nicotine products in AU is legal !
Say what?

"Customs remains focused on intercepting illicit drugs and other items potentially harmful to the community."
http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5799.asp
I think that this could definitely be considered a "potentially harmful" substance.
You show me the proof that importing nicotine into Australia is legal.

mick37, it isn't clear that you understand your country's laws and customs. Can you provide evidence that sale of e-cigs in Australia is legal and that customs can't seize them?

A quick Google search shows that it is widely reported that the sale of electronic cigarettes containing nicotine is illegal in Australia. A quick search for Australian regulations on the subject finds this: http://www.tga.gov.au/ndpsc/record/rr200810.pdf page 144 for confirmation: "The Committee agreed that the most appropriate course of action would be to retain the current scheduling for nicotine so that the parent entry for this poison remained in Schedule 7. The Committee confirmed that nicotine in an electronic cigarette is a Schedule 7 poison and is therefore subject to regulatory control as a dangerous poison."

Regarding shipping I find it difficult to believe the times you are reporting and expecting. I have never received a postal shipment of anything (e-cig or other) from the US to Canada as quickly as what you claim.

I also want to report that my own experience with Vapor4Life is nothing less than fantastic. Everything I've received from them (cartomizers, batteries, pass through, lanyard) has been high quality. One shipment from them ran into a problem (not their fault) and they shipped a replacement the day I sent them an email, before they could possibly have confirmed what I told them. And they threw in some extras in the replacement shipment.

I know that things can sometimes go wrong even with the best of companies. Nonetheless I find your posts here a bit hard to believe.

You can quote whatever you like but the reality is that importing eliquid into Australia is not a problem. I have imported about 6Lt of Nic upto 100mg/ml strength and never had a problem. I've even had parcels containing two 1Lt bottles of liquid labeled as eliquid opened and inspected by customs with a note left in the box that customs had checked the contents and found it was OK. They then just retaped the package and let it through.

So customs and eliquid into Australia is not a problem currently. Mind you I have been stocking up because I can see a time when they will crack down on it. But when you can get two large 1Lt bottles inspected and OKed, you can't really say that customs is treating the import as illegal, ATM.

I've only ordered from vapor4life a couple of times, but both times were great. The first time there was an error on their website listing a juice in stock that wasn't... Guess what? They sent me 3 bottles of different flavors instead.

Why can vapor4life do this? Why can they send out replacements without confirming an issue? Why do they have no problem sending out freebies?

They are doing something right. The supplier has become so popular and they make so much revenue they can easily afford to replace and send freebies to keep customers coming back.

I agree with many other posters in this thread. Something is fishy about the original post and the way the OP has acted. Who places a 250$ order and won't try to get their money's worth?

I can't speak about the AU customs issue or V4L overall CS, however, as to the "perfumy" flavor: I ordered several weeks ago, for the 1st time from V4L just to try some of their flavors. I noticed this flowery or perfumy flavor in the pecan pie and thought it might just be a fluke. I then ordered some french vanilla ice cream and, again, the same flowery/perfumy undertone. Taste is certainly subjective, but it seems that there is something in V4L's flavors(at least the one's that I tried) that my taste buds perceive as perfumy or floral.

"Something is fishy about the original post"

sure, maybe I'm the only one that has issues with V4L ........or maybe not
below are quotes for members of this forum regarding V4L and v4L products

*This one tastes something like a soapy candle
*I got 3 of the bigger bottles and it was really bad.
*Tried talking with customer service, and all they would say was they can't help me out
*Inconsistent liquid at V4L is a ongoing problem
*I am really disappointed with these liquids
*V4L? I can't even V these flavors 4 Five minutes!
*Almost all of the V4L juice I have tried has a heavy solvent flavor,or tastes like perfume. That stuff is just plain nasty!
*Spiced Apple Cider is awful. If it was called "Vaseline & Aftershave" I'd have said, "Bravo! You nailed the flavour!"
*I too had a problem with their juices/cartomizers
*the juice and cartos I just cant like, and I have tried to. they smell and taste like perfume to me
*My nightmare with this outfit began over a week and a half ago and their continued lack of response has left me so far from “smilin” it isn't even funny
*I have to second your opinion about V4L customer service. I bought over 100 defective blank cartomizers
*What pushed me over the edge is when Mark posted in one on the threads I started that he "would swap them out for me" He puts on this act like he will take care of things while in the forum, but basically tells me to get bent
My email to customer service received a reply that offered no resolution
I am not happy with this because, although I received items, they simply were not what I ordered. If I had wanted to order what I was sent, I would have done so initially.

*So far, I've not been able to get it resolved via email. My first email was ignored. The second email got me a one sentence apology but no offer to rectify the situation
*V4L lost my business at the end of '09 for the same reasons. They had been my first and sole supplier at the time
*My battery won't charge after only 25 to 30 charges

and so on !!!

I really believe compared with stuff I got till now from VaporNine, Heaven Gifts and Janty that V4L products are really low quality.

Then why are you on the vapornine subforum saying all the cartos you just got from them suck?

I think either:
a) you want a bunch of free stuff

b) the real problem is about 3 inches behind your nose.

sorry but I agree, something very fishy...

You may say you know from personal experience how long packages take coming from the US, but so do I. My starter kit I got took just over 3 weeks to get to me. Then a few days after receiving the starter kit, I receive ANOTHER starter kit, free of charge, because they were worried it wouldn't make it. I emailed them to see if they wanted me to send it back, as I felt bad pestering them about how long it took, but they were adamant I kept it. Sounds like going above and beyond in terms of Customer Service to me.

Not trying to discredit you, just sharing my own personal experience.

that's my point - I want absolutely nothing for free
I NEVER ASKED for replacements form V4L and never will
I have told Ben from VaporNine (ask him! , he offered me store credit) that I do not want credit or cartos replaced, all I want is to buy cartos that work. First batch I bought from his was awesome, second one was really bad!

I tough this is a forum were you can put your own opinion or reviews about products and suppliers - i do not do it to get anything, money it's not everything on this world.
Most of reviews here, probably more than 90% , are good and very good - I wonder why .....I have bought by now ,in only last 3 weeks, products and liquids from more than 14 suppliers and let me tell you, 90% of them are pure crap !!!

I've started vapping and quit smoking because of this forum and I'm grateful for it. but vapping has became a nightmare for me ..batteries that don't charge, that don't work, 50 cartomizers all not working, most of the liquids are bad or really bad ....trust me, I'm now sitting here and looking at my desk that has no less than 80 bottles on it and about 7 devices and i DO NOT have what to vape ... I honestly don't know how I'm going to pass this weekend ....all i want is to be able to buy GOOD supplies ...

mate, you probably live in Wait Awhile state, I'm in Vic - in last 3 weeks I have bought AND received more than 14 orders from US and I can prove it, I have copies of all invoices
The longest delivery ever I had from US was 9 days and that was during Christmas

Let's assume that you mean by this that you ordered 14 things (perhaps you ordered more than one thing from some of those suppliers but if so that makes the reasoning below harsher so let's make this gentle assumption here), and that by 90% you mean 12 of the 14 things were crap (a kindly bit under 90%.)

Let's also assume that in the last three weeks you ordered only from suppliers who have good reviews on this forum; that's somewhat implied in the rest of your post.

Let's also assume that 20% of what well reviewed suppliers on this forum ship is actually crap. (A pretty harsh assumption I think. From what I've seen I'm pretty sure that a supplier here who ships 20% crap would quickly get a very bad reputation and if they didn't clean up their act would be removed as an approved supplier. Still, let's use that number to see what we may determine.)

Given the above assumptions, the chance that you would get crap for 12 or more out of 14 things ordered from suppliers approved on these forums is 0.2^12, i.e. about 1 in 250,000,000.

And that number rapidly gets hugely smaller if you ordered more than 14 things from those 14 suppliers, if you literally meant 90%, and/or if we assume a crap rate of less than 20% on average for forum approved suppliers.

After doing that bit of arithmetic I have a pretty good idea where the crap is.

Maybe vaping just isn't your thing.

mick,
Really I feel for you...it's almost pointless though to complain about V4L though...the little "family" comes out of the woodwork when they percieve an attack...

I'm with you though, of all the companies I've ordered from in he span of 6 months their overall quality of product and QC is the worst...consistency of product even worse still..

They do a good job of blinding people to the roblems with giving free stuff though..

There was a member here month back that had a sig that went something like "V4L is like the walmart of the e-cig world...their products are total crap, but their warranty keeps people coming back".....and it's really quite true

so true ..I'm not posting here for the "family" , I don't care what they say, but for new buyers, to know what to expect ... If you know to read between the lines it's easy too see a lot of posts and reviews on this forum are "sponsored"

consistency is what worries me the most - like happened to me, you buy 10 cartos and are awesome, order a hundred more and all go to bin ...
my problem now is , I've finally found some decent juice, it's far from good, but it's decent, but I can't find cartos ....tried more than 10 suppliers by now ..I'll keep trying ...can't go back to smoking even it's becaming very temting .. all I need it's a $1 lighter ...

I placed my first ever order for vape supplies from V4L. Received them fairly quickly, and was disappointed to find that the PT did not work. I sent an email to customer service, and received an email back from them the following morning saying that they would send out a new PT that day.

I received the new PT two days later, and it works fine. All in all, a positive customer service experience.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I've had nothing but great experiences from V4L. A few of my batteries died, as well as a wall charger. Replacements were sent out immediately.

Considering that the batteries, chargers, etc., cartomizers are made in China, it's not surprising that there is a quality issue. However, this happens with all vendors/suppliers, not just V4L. I'm happy that V4L has a warrantee on their products and excellent customer service.
