My vote is for the firefighters raising the flag at Ground Zero. Right after 9/11 was the most national unity that I had ever experienced, even more so than during the bicentennial in 1976.

OMG! These pictures are awesome!!!

I want to vote for the 911 firefighters and the flag.

That was real.
I remember getting my mom and going out and giving blood afterward and the Red Cross people gave out little red white and blue frosted cookies.

It looks like 911 pic is the winner.I will pm the winner with there prize options tomorrow.We would like to thank everyone for there participation.I enjoyed looking at all the pics n stories.That picture actually was my favorite and i think will always be a good portrayal of how americans rise up and together under even the worse circumstances.Everyone from every country enjoy the olympics and have fun rooting for there countries.
