Only the best little burger joint in all of the great state of Illinois....duh Seriously though, their burgers, fries and shakes are amaaaazing. I begged them the last time I was there to let me open a location here in VA.

I just looked it up on google maps, and the only ones I could find are about 200 miles Southwest of us. We live in Northeast Illinois. Lake Michigan is about 100 yards from my front porch.

Always hated nights like that. There are plenty of days @ work I miss waiting tables. Hell, tonight I was at the grocery & ran into my principal and she asked if I could come in tomorrow to load film into the laminating machine. I'm on summer vacation for FraKs sake!

Well then, I have something special for you, Red. Here's a pic I took of my 17 year old, back in '08, when we first moved here. It was in the middle of February, so the lake was still frozen over. I love watching the sun rise over the lake each morning!

Well . . . no. His transplanted kidney failed last year. They had to remove it last December, so now he doesn't have a kidney at all. Three days a week on dialysis, until we can find a match.

I was referring to my kidneys being better than my liver. Sorry, was a bad joke.

My wife is a type 1 diabetic and is showing signs of kidney disease. I can sympathize as we're looking at a similar situation in the future for her.

So what is ,or what did everyone have for dinner tonight???

Braised pork loin chops (I cut 'em 1.5" thick so they'd stay juicy), mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and mixed greens salad. Made gravy out of the braising liquid for the spuds & to dress the chops.
