used to partay with them,lee michaels,santana,hot tuna,blue cheer,tower of power,(quicksilver at antioch fairgrounds) and few other notables back in the day in the bay area............I still have a few autographed albums from a bunch of the bands somewhere.Got a autographed set of drum sticks from frosty (lee michaels drummer) when they played before led zeppelin at kezar stadium in 73' I think..Still in half body cast then..Zepp let a bunch of white doves loose then or else I was "seeing" things from "drinkin the electric wine"..LOL

I always liked Lee Michaels... saw him at the Palm Springs Pop Festival in 1969 (they had to carry Frosty off the stage... :facepalm: ) and he ended up being the drummer in a local band that played around here during the late 70's/early 80's.

I loved going to see these these guys!! :wub: (that's Frosty in front on the cover)



('Alice' was kinda their signature song,
and they would throw Pink Panties in the audience sometimes!!)

Led Zeppelin put out this song in 1975, and 20 years later, Kevin Gilbert (another local musician) does an incredible version of it with his band, Thud... :)

Sadly, he passed away just about a year after this performance...
one more loss of a talented musician before his time!!




Kevin gave his then-girlfriend, Sheryl Crow, her start in one of his previous bands, Toy Matinee.
(if you look closely, you can see her playing keyboards in the background, up against the wall... LOL!!)
