I had 2 reasons for using plugs. 1) if the board glitches and requires a reboot, you just need to unplug the battery. Harder to do if the battery is soldered directly. 2) I can wire up more batteries and swap if I'm in a hurry.

I also plan on installing magnets so #2 would be even easier. I have 50 1.5mm x 3mm neodymium magnets.
Just managed to find some, just bought like 6 pairs. Fairly cheap :)

Please let us know what they say!

I have a response. The switch mode DC to DC conversion can decrease voltage and net you more amperage out. Definitely possible. I'm perceiving the response as not having a nasty spike in consumption over 16A. That leaves us two amps continuous of headroom on the battery specs. All my theory was completed in 1995. See what happens in 20 years.

Looks like I have an extra 40 board on the way. Love the little VS.

When u put on the dean's mini connector does it matter which way the connector goes where you solder? As one is horizontal and one vertical?
Also do you connect the female side to the VS dna30? And male to the battery?

Sounds like you might have the Ultra plugs and not the Micro plugs. I would put the female connector on the battery so you have less of a chance to short it. Make sure you have the polarity correct.

vsdna40 vs dna40 stealth, same battery.

readout from my digital scale:
stealth weighs 2.31 oz
vs dna40 weighs 4.88 oz

stealth cost was the 9 volt battery box from rat shack ($3), buttons ($5), charger and chip (43 gotta love coops!!), 510 ($3). $55 bucks aint too shabby for an authentic dna40!

smaller my friend. youre looking at the vaporshark dna30 (converted to dna40) next to it. i put the sharkskin on it, so it might look slightly different.
No way! That's awesome! Ultimate stealth vape right there!!!
That really is awesome.
Was the box ready made? Or did you make it your self?

Yep we've been around for a while....... stealthy's in 20's, 30's, and now 40's...how's the batt life with the 40 in TP mode?

i actually get about 20-30% better battery life than my dna20, and 30 stealth. the vsdna30 conversion (to the dna40) is the same, about 20-30% longer life. i can get through about 4ml(ish) on a single charge as apposed to about 3ml(ish). im a low watt vapor, dna20 and dna30 i was usually around 8 watts and single coil around 1.5-1.8ohm, dna40 im closer to 10 watts at 450f/460f. with 0.11-0.18 ohm. the tech, the increased battery life, the fact that it still fights in such a tight package, the NO dry hits...its such a huge f'in win for me (and i believe an industry full of others!).

just awesome.

Wow that's so cool! I'd love to do it my self, but i cant get that box in the uk. Will have a look though.
Did you put a button that lights up while you vape or just a normal button?

Just took my old battery out and put a new one in :)
Put it on charge and going to vape it all day tomorrow and hopefully should be sorted.

Still trying to source a dna40 board.
