Lol I'm glad to see I'm not the only one for whom no matter how hard you try, the only free space on your workbench will be just barely enough to hold the piece you are currently working on.

Yup! True dat! A jewelers bench is to hold tools and materials for the job at hand as the work is preformed at the bench pin in front of the bench.

Yup, I got to be part of the DNA40 beta test group and put this unit together for testing the board. Amazing tech (DNA40), IMHO!

I had planned a DNA30 for this enclosure, but the occasion couldn’t be ignored! Thought I’d show insides if anyone might like to give it a go or it may help in design ideas for future projects. A few things changed from my original drawing. I had originally had the up/down buttons side by side but decided to go with in-line for better aesthetics and staying with the theme. Missing is the photo of the atty positive soldered in! Sorry, about that I was getting close to button-up, annnnd well the excitement, ya know? I love it when a plan comes together!

I have a silly question. Where did you get the little brass "Amp" logo or did you fabricate it yourself? I looks almost too nice to be homemade.

Haha! OK, so we won't call it "Homemade"! We'll call it, uuum "Handmade"! Yup that's the ticket! Yes, I hand cut the "Amp" with a jewelers piecing saw from nickel sheet stock along with the button plate. Go check out the link to my photo album of the build.
