Can anybody recommend a mod that takes the same battery configuration (18650 for 3.7v and 2 CR123 LI PO for 5v) as the Joker that is not too big. Thanks in advance Danno

there is no commercial mod that vapes at 5v that uses a 18650 and 3.7 option that also uses rcr123a's. at least that I know of.

you have the xhaler from nhaler.com
glv from greatlakesvapor.com
prodigy from puresmoker.com

these are the only 3 I know commerically made mods that do 5v.

Vaprlife has always used protected batteries. And in regards to the Joker LiPo4 batteries should work safely with no problems.

To be honest it's not the unit but rather the user. We thought it best to implement some type of safety feature into the Joker so that in the event a user with a death wish decides to mix batteries or use non recommended batteries the unit will shut itself off. (Just because you can doesn't mean you should) Although the wait in the short term is an inconvenience I think in the long run this is morally the right decision. I think it's our responsibility as suppliers to put forth the effort to create the safest possible vaping experience.

With that said, when the Joker is finally I released it will contain safety features not yet seen on a custom modification and a first step in the right direct to provide a safe environment when using custom modifications. :)

Figured I would update this. The joker will go on pre sale in about 2 weeks. Safety really was the issue. In fact once the Joker is ready, the mechanism used to protect the unit will be released for other modders to implement, thus benefiting the whole community. Believe me when I say we want it released as much as you do ;)
