Hello again everyone and welcome back for another review. Todays review is on a Pod Kit from a new company manufacturer called VAPX. The item being reviewed today is 1 of 2 devices that VAPX has released, today I'll be reviewing the second device that VAPX released called the Geyser S which houses a 1500 mAH internal battery and has a wattage range of 5-50 watts and is a wattage only device. The Geyser S is fairly lightweight, no information of it's material is stated on their website but it's big brother is made of a magnesium alloy so it's a good chance the Geyser S probably is also. Lets get to know the Geyser S a little before the review.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Opening up the package revealed the usual slide out box that when lifted off showed all parts tucked in a foam cut out with the instruction manual laying on top. Both of the mesh coils that come with the kit are 0.25Ω and are rated for 35-45w. They sit together in the foam cut out, one does not come preinstalled in the pod which makes sense because you will need to prime your coil anyway.
I'm surprised that both mesh coils are of the same Ω, I wish there was a higher Ω coil provided because with a built in 1500 mAH battery the minimum of 35w will not get the user through a full day without a additional charge or 2 depending on your vaping preference. The first thing I noticed going from top to bottom was that the drip tip is a removable 510 with the one provided being very comfortable with a flush fit so I used it for the review, I tried other 510 drip tips and all fit even though there is a raised 510 platform. The other thing I noticed is the pod is tinted but tinted lightly so viewing your juice level will not be a problem, also there is a little cut out in the pod to slide a fingernail in aiding in opening the juice plug.
A feature that I like to see on pod devices is the ability to rotate the fill plug out of the way when filling juice and I was happy to see it featured on the Geyser S as well as a big fill port that makes filling of juice a mess free experience for the user.
The Geyser S uses a honeycombed mesh that is fully adjustable and seems to really smoothen out the vape at any airflow setting that I tried. This is a strictly RDL or DL device with it's airflow being to open for a comfortable MTL vape.
The pod of the Geyser S attaches to the device in a different manor than the usual magnet or click in as most pods do, instead it sits on and rides a pair of rails that at the end of the ride a spring loaded ball bearing is used to secure the pod to the mod and works very well. To remove the pod simply push forward at the end of the pod below the fill port.
The device sits solid on it's base that is big enough that no wobble or easy knock overs happened. I could not find any venting on the device. There is branding on the bottom.
Moving on to the display screen, a very bright and vivid color display is used and looks a lot like a Geekvape screen only with more color and design. Your information is presented very nicely and everything you need is in place. Above the display sits the fire button, below the display sits the up and down buttons with the Type-C charge port below them.
MENU
There really is no menu since this is a wattage only device but it does have some adjustments you can make. Turning the device on/off is done with 5 quick presses of the fire button, once on you can increase or decrease wattage by 5 watt increments using the up or down buttons. The device also will round robin forward or backward. To lock and unlock your wattage adjustments press and hold both the up and down button simultaneously.
Pressing and holding the fire and up or down button will bring you to brightness adjustments
Quickly pressing the fire button 3 times will bring you to clear the puff counter, press either the up or down button to clear the puff counter.
FINAL IMPRESSIONS
MY time of a couple weeks of use has been a very favorable one with the Geyser S and I'm very impressed with VAPX as a company as this is only their 2nd release of a device. One other item I must mention is the Geyser S uses Buck-Boost output and it works very well up until you reach 1 bar of battery life but at that point it should be charged anyway. The coils used gave very good flavor and the vapor produced was also very satisfying.
Another point I need to mention is that you can also use Geekvape Boost coils in the Geyser S which is a great option also the XCOIL-10 can be used in the Boost. I have absolutely no complaints with this device other than wish there was a higher Ω coil available that would help in conserving battery life. I just realized that I never mentioned it's appearance that I find sleek and it appeals to me.
You can purchase the VAPX Geyser S at Sourcemore for a discounted price of $21.59 using the coupon code GEYSK.
I would like to thank Lilia and Sourcemore for providing the Geyser S for review and hope this review helped anyone looking to purchase the Geyser S by VAPX.
THANK YOU
