Well now I am faced with a task of replying to something that I seem to have just stumbled into by accident.
I must say that I was until today unaware of all of this patent procedures. However after having now read a 44 page closed thread, I have some mixed emotions and don't exactly know what to say about it.
1st: I do see some valid points posted by all parties.
2nd: I do object to a lot of things said by all parties.
Above all I believe that the right thing is not always the same as the legal thing.
(I prefer to do the right thing)
Do I object to Buzz applying for a patent for his buzz products?
Not at all. nor do I object to patents being given to him, or to the Darwin, or ProVape, Or fistpak, and on and on, based on their design that makes them uniquely their own brand. A ford is a ford,,, a chev is a chev.
What I do object to is the attempt to encompass ALL vv products being sold into a patent that should be reserved to just what makes a buzz a buzz.
I do believe that VV was already in public domain. or is exploited under the license that comes with a VV chip from T.I. to use it for re-sale in ones own package. The only thing that should be patented is the design of the package that it is put in.
Now for the part that Frizzed me off to no end was being threatened with legal action!!! That's worse than pulling a gun on me in my book. And threatened was exactly what Buzz did when he said that modders have nothing at all to worry about, UNLESS THEY TRY TO SELL SOMETHING. makes me want to go out and sell some "Gummy mods", God knows I get asked often enough.
If I go into the biz of building Buzzs then by all means, take me to task, But if I decide to start selling Gummy mods that are my design. The free market will decide if I stay in biz or not. but to have some lawyer come in and try to strong arm me for some of my money is no different than paying the mob protection money.
So let me just cut right to the chase. I get the message.
The ProVari and Darwin are selling like hotcakes, and well, the buzz is selling.
It seems to me simple enough, Buzz wants to strong arm those guys to get some of their money, Not me Because Gummys just doesn't have enough to fool with. But those guys do. Provape sold over 4000 units in the first two month and there is still a two month wait for one. That is surely enough money to make them a big target. only instead of using a gun,,, a Lawyer will to the deed.
I do apologize to retird for thinking he started this thread to help propel the patent. I see now that he did not. He seems to be one that would rather do what is RIGHT.
And while I never wanted to be dragged into a bucket of
it does seem that I have surely stepped into it.
I just don't like being threatened.
