How about a VV box mod with Evercool aka Varicool circuit (I recommend you get one with the circuit - otherwise it will use up power the same as if you had it on the highest setting all the time)

In Buying & Selling... Modders and Accessories, I think Old Goat sells a VV box mod w/ evercool for $55. And SMoktek sells one here SmokTek "SmokBox VariCool" - Custom variable volt Box Mod - Efficient switching regulator! adjustable 3,4,5,6.5 volt's & everything between.

You could need some 14500 protected or AW IMR batteries (like 4 or more since it uses 2 at a time) and a charger for them. Note - sometimes in plastic box mods with AW IMR batteries you may need to add a 6mm magnetic spacer (see CloudsofVapor.com) to the "nipple" tip of the battery to get a good connection with the positive terminal in the box mod (due to a bit of plastic that can block it enough so the short nipple of AW IMR doesn't reach the contact).

Or browse ecig mods by feature here and pick variable voltage

well ive come across a box mod with an voltage display for a reasonable price. if interested click the link. it also takes two 14500 Bats. Variable Volt Box Mod w/ Voltage Indicator

I have the same vv box mod but without the voltage readout. It's compact and provides 0v-7.4v vaping on two 14500 batteries. It's a good low cost alternative that fits in a pocket.
