Hi Everyone,
Just wanted your opinion here. I was torn between the standard Ali'i and the VV....and Reo Grand. Right now I use my ProVari, on standard 510 atty 2.2 ohm....and ALWAYS set my voltage at 4.2 and sometimes 4.5. Which is abt 8.0 watts and then 9.0 watts at 4.5. So...is it pointless for me to have VV right?..When if I have a LR 510 at 1.7 or 1.8 ohm on a true 3.7 18650...that would put me at abt 8.0 watts. An if I use a LR 510 at 1.5 ohm that put me abt 9.0 watts. So shud i just simply use LR? I dont need to hit any higher voltage/watts.

Am I understanding this right??? Im not a noobie...been vapin abt a year, just been starting with diffnt mods recently... I really appreciate everybody's opinion and advice...

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,
While I don't know the math...because I'm not the techie expert....I have heard a few state that they didn't feel the need to go HV because they get what they need out of the 3.7V with LR. That being said...everyone's preference is different. There are a few guys here who swear by the 6V setup with HV atties. So.... now that I haven't really answered your question,, Welcome to the forum! Someone who loves VV is sure to stop by and answer anytime.:)

*edit....I have a Little Sister VV mod...and I've used it once. I don't have the patience for fiddling with dials and stuff...in other words, I'm lazy. :) I'm a 3.7V + LR gal all the way.

I went with the LR attys and a good HD 18650 It gives me what I need for an all day vape.

I have had a few of the VV Ali'i's but did not need that much variation in volts and with the 18650 Lr atty set up I get much longer time between battery changes.

I do have a VV tube mod for when I wont more volts but not in my juice mods for all day use.

Hope that helps.

I would think the advantage of a Provari or any VV would be that some flavors taste better at different voltages compared to other flavors and you would have the flexibility to set your PV to the voltage that best suited whatever flavor you were vaping at the time.

3.7V and LR attys/cartos are pretty well matched most of the time, too.

It all depends on the user and what he/she wants out of a PV, I guess.

Welcome to the ECF, I use the Provari and stay at about 4.0 to 4.2 on standards, but mix it up with a HV 3.5 from Ikenvape for different vapes and flavors. Or somtimes IKV 801 for a lot of vape. I never use a LR on the Provari, no need. I also have the Ali'i and do the same, do I need a VV, yes I prefer the flexibility to move the voltage up and down, everyone is different.

Curiosity killed the cat, if you don't own at least one VV bottom feeder you will never know, I happen to enjoy my 2 vv Ali'i Mods very much, also with better and better Attys and cartos always coming out in all different variations of ohms its a nice option to have right now, not to mention the different flavors that you can pull with one mod at different voltages (Wattage's) it surely has it's advantages, I also say why simulate HV when you can have the real deal.!!! It wont be your last Mod either way I would be willing to bet :2cool:

My suggestion would depend on what type of vaper you are. If you have your favorite juices and mostly stick to those and are not always ordering new juices then I would def stick with 3.7 lr but if you are the type to always be searching for another favorite juice then you may like to have the option of upping the watts/voltage.

Says the man who owns everything :) You never know till you try though. I say go for a VV and if you don't find the need sell it and move on. Or keep it and move on !!
