Variable Votage .. Possible with one battery?

I've been trying to help a friend out with a custom mod I requested; two 14500 batteries are generally used for her box mods and VV mods.

However, with the 14500's .. they take up 3/4ths of the insides, which is a pain in the ..... So I was thinking that maybe it would work with a regulated 5v battery, or maybe one single 6v battery?

It's just a thought, because I know VV's require at least 5v power .. Or something like that.

Any suggestions would help!

A booster chip is the way to go. At present, there is only one booster that is really sufficient for our purposes, but it works great, and is ridiculously simple. Check this out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/178144-44-mini-booster-box-mod.html

I have a ProVari VV mod and it uses a 3.7 18650 battery. I can set it anywhere from 3.3 to 6.0 volts. I have the extension cap to be able to use a 18650 battery.

There are several BOOSTED mods and modules/chips that can be used , these take a 3.7 volt battery voltage and BOOST them to your desired voltage , the PTn chip does this there are several others that do as well ( see the modders forum ) .
They use a single 3.7 v batt. to power them .

I've been thinking of a way to put all the necessary parts into a small controller. Unfortunately, since I can't do much right now, a friend of mine who is an avid modder is maing it for me.

The controller? An NES controller. Hence the single battery idea.

I'm making a vv wiimote mod, I want to use one big battery instead of using two smaller batts. Ive heard the boosters really hurt the efficiency, even with capacitors. The real question is, which setup is better. Also what is the best kind of potentiometer to use, it would. E awesome to integrate parts of the wiimote so with the + or - button you could raise and lower the voltage. Or have different buttons for different voltages. Anyone with ideas let me know

booster or the step up chip is needed to make a 1 piece battery vv mod but the consequences of using this type of mod is quick battery life specially if you're vaping at 4+ volts
