This is still my all day every day build in my oddy! My last wick & coil went over 2 weeks with no cleaning and still had great flavor. (Twistd 32,1/16, 1.5ohm stacked 350s true 12 watts to the coil.) This was the longest ever and I attribute it to a new vaping style of letting off the fire button a second before my drag is done, that way the juice fully atomizes off the coil and cools... Otherwise the coil is still hot and it cooks the juice onto the coil as it cool. THE Only reason I had to pull it was I put a new juice in it and the flavor wasn't leaving with-out a washing. Otherwise it may have Gone another week! (FYI - tfa kona coffee is very potent/ skunky even at 1%.)

I tried a horizontal for about 4 days and it just didn't cut it. The vertical is much better no doubt.

Here's my latest build twisted 32, 1/16 @ 1.8ohm

I went through about 70-80 ml on the last hemp wick & coil, surprising thing was the coil didn't gunk after a week like it used to. Hemp can last a long long time. The wick setup can be finicky and sometimes needs adjustment or break-in during the first day if you don't get it right. A good 10 min soak is recommended. And this one was good from the get go. Vaping hs Arabic @ 3% & diggin it.

I do two 1 mm size fluffy wicks down each side. Cut two strands off flush with the cup take other two down channels. After soaked & pressed into the channels, if any is puffing out the ceramic channels I trim it flush Down the side so I get good juice flow to keep up with chain vaping

Hey man, looks pretty good. Wire gauge, ohms? How'd the wicking go for you and how's it vaping?

28ga @ 1.3 ohms. The wicking actually went pretty good, surprisingly the first try worked great. I looked at everyone's pictures and tried to duplicate it. It vapes fantastic and the flavor is phenomenal!

Scored The Rose V2, should be here Thursday. Looks like an excellent candidate for the Inverted V-Twin build, like I have in the Russian. Am so excited being able to own the Rose V2. Ever since I saw the first version, I vowed to get one if they ever made another batch available. A truly innovative total rba system.

Did receive the TGT clone. Haven't got the wicking down yet, seems to wickout on me at 22 watts. Oh well, clones and all, but is showing some promise. Does look at home perched on top of my Big Nasty though :D Will have to take some pics of that.

Glad to see some continuing interest in vertical builds. Feel rba's with the air intake below the coil builds, are enhanced when mounted vertically. Find that the InV-t, /\, conforms nicely into the dynamics of the funnel cap, providing a very powerful, smooth, flavor popping vape at 30 watts, least on the Russian it does. (your experience may very). It's the only build I will run in the Russian now.

Edit: Ok, after making this post, the name of build came to me on the Rose. It will be now Known as the R2V2. Rose 2 with the V twin build.

Vape long and Prosper!!

P.S.: The cat bites!

The first time I heard of the vertical build was three weeks ago after watching how to build it on Rip Trippers' video tutorial. I've been using the same chimney coil for 3 weeks and 3 wick changes now on my KFL+. My next wick change, I think I'll build the double barrel version and give it a shot too :). I will be sticking to the vertical coil build on my Kayfuns now.

The difference you noticed between horizontal and vertical, will just as dramatic when going to the dual series. The inverted V works best for me. Also, it eliminates the Long leg.

This thread basically splintered from the nano dragon thread. After a bit, was decided that verts needed their own thread. I wanted it to be called the Vulcan Warp Core thread, but got over ruled. lmao.

Have one pic of my current coil on the Russian. Using twisted tiger wire in the inverted V-twin build.

I then use hemp fiber for wick by threading a stand between the two coils, and wrapping the tails completely around both coils and tucking the tails into the juice decks that they started at. I twist the stand tight to thread between the coils, then slightly untwist to fluff a bit, then wrap around the coils. Always fold the tails up when securing containment ring, the tuck tails into juice track. That way no fibers get caught in the threads and block the juice channels. First one was just 28 awg, really like the tiger wire in this build. Sucka vape incredible at 30 watts. Hope this helps. I am using the mounting holes on the post blocks to secure this build.

Not bad first Vert. When installing a single Vert, I'd insert the needle used to wrap the coil into the air whole, with the coil touching down and then secure the bottom leg. Once tight, then can easily bend the top leg down to secure it, remove needle, pulse and squeeze if necessary.

I must say, I recently received two Rose2 rba's the other day, and have built one with the iV-twin, wicked with Ramie Fiber. It is a Most Excellent Build, on an exquisite rba. Will post some picks and write up on my days off.

Not bad loco, just a little but of overlap on the upper leg. How did the wicking go, did you get a good vape?

Its hitting like a champ thanks for the encouragement the overlap had me baffled but I think it'll be better next time ,as far as wicking goes I used riptrippers method it came out okay tastes awesome and hits good.
A little off topic but for some reason my rocket has a harder air draw with both holes open it used to be great now its too tight it take a lot of effort to get a good hit any one know why thanks

The rocket is an inferior clone, it's air passage ways are smaller and the tolerances are way off. I bought one after receiving the Russian. Was sadly disappointed. Did drill out the air intake, and it vaped almost as good as the real thing, but inferior quality and sits in a drawer some where.

You are spoiled now too, so rocket has lost that loving vaping.. Find a drawer of abandoned vape gear, heck make great pif gifts, birthdays, holidays,... lol
