The screen gets wet after a few hits. The airflow gets even more restricted. Pop that sucka out. You'll see how it truly vapes. ;)

So true. I have to admit, this one thing -- the screen -- was a missed opportunity for VLS to show off its engineering prowess. It's something I had already tried with a pipe screen in one of my other drip tips, and I had the same results. (I tired that about a month before I had even heard of the Vector).

Next time it's raining outside, put a screen over your head and see how that works to keep you dry.:lol::lol:

I honestly think i had more spitback with the screen in then with it out. Mine held the juice and when i inhaled it spit a little bit. But i took it out now and like it a lot more.
Same here... Screen removed.

It was a Memorial Day sale and "OG" just means not a clone, but the original. VapeRoyalty now has this atty for the price I got it for in that sale.
Lol funny you should mention vaperoyalty, that's where I purchased mine from. I got a black ipv4 with the new display that doesn't have that mirror finish so it's bright and clear, a zephyrus tank by UD, a mutation x v4, the vector rda, and 4 of the new 35 amp 2800 mah dark purple efests and it all arrived a couple hours ago. As you can probably guess, I'm one happy vapor atm. Any advice any owners can offer me with building/using the vector RDA would be greatly appreciated. Or building the bra section at the zephyrus, or mutation while we are at it lol always looking to hear tried and true pointers =]

Keep on vaping all of you cloud-chasing cowboys (and of course cowgirls as well) =]

CAvapes got back with me today to show me a first prototype of a press fit drip tip for The Vector. It's still early so I wont post it, but it sure is cool that they are keeping me in the loop. If this ever turns into a product, I will post it here.
Even better would be an adapter so that it could take any 510 drip tip, but still be able to maintain all of its functionality. Shouldn't be too difficult to design...

Works great.

Wow, that really is a beautiful build, like if builds were supermodels, your build would totally be runway ready lmao
How do you align the coils so perfectly. Like I've built probably over a hundred center post builds but they never come out perfectly aligned like that, although I built on 4 post attys predominantly...maybe that played a factor in making it more difficult to align...? Any pointers to turn out builds like this?

As soon as I saw this I knew I wanted one! I remember when my good friend @RPadTV showed me his Vulcan, I knew VLS had quality workmanship behind them, so this should be no different. I got one coming and considering I can't find an OG Aeolus, I went with this one -- actually really happy my money instead went with VLS on this type of atty purchase.

Check it out:

Lmao so crazy, I swear I had the exact same experience ie wanted the Aeolus for the longest time but couldn't find an authentic for the life of me. Then I saw this and was intrigued, gave in and got it, arrived tonight. What's the cherry on the sundae of vaping goodness for me in all this is after already purchasing the vector I stumbled onto syntheticloud's sight just on a whim and to my surprise and elation discovered they were releasing a v2 Aeolus in the next couple weeks which bore several striking similarities to the vector. Like they've decreased the height, added more airflow and it just appears to be very similar all around from what I can tell. Well, safe to say I couldn't be happier with my impulse vaping purchase for the first time lol. Enjoy your gear everyone, Vape safe, and fight for our rights to Vape as well as for the vaping industry.

EDD for mine is tomorrow according to the tracking. I cannot wait to tear that package open when I get home from work that evening. Especially after the failure and let down feeling I got when I opened up my AngelCigs package the other day and took the Hobo v3 and DotMod Petri clones out of their boxes. What a let down. No more cheap Chinese clones for me.

Yeah, it's not much of a deal when you have to keep buying cheap units to find one that isn't terrible. Heck, you know this (The Vector by VLS) is going to be built well and it only costs the price of two clones, and in some instances it only cost just a few more bucks than a clone. Cheers. And here's to hoping more quality OG makers make more affordable gear for people like you, me and everyone else! Wait...what was that? Look at the Indestructible RDA by Jay Bo. It's only ~$49.

@sahsah

Sorry I missed you last night but I was in some pain with this sciatic nerve issue. That and you being in Cali makes the time difference at night more pronounced. I will respond to some of your questions a little later (unless someone else does. You can tag the users if you like).

You look stoked!

Up until now, it's always been easier to justify buying 2 clones to see if I like something, but now that the quality of them has gone downhill, it's just not worth it to me. If more $50 authentics keep popping up, it's easier for me to explain to my wife  Also, it does make me feel good now that you mention it that I'm supporting the creators of the hardware, not some 3rd tier, lower quality mass reproduction warehouse halfway around the world.

I've been seeing the Indestructible for a while now, but with my "preference" going toward top airflow, all my other side airflow attys have been sitting on the shelf. Really looks nice though, I love JayBo's work.

It's really all about feel. You've got to decide ahead of time how far out you want the build before you do it (at least that's how I do it). Doing good center post builds is aided by having adequate tools for them and a lot of patience, i.e., trial and error (mostly error). Thicker wire also helps.

Why does everyone have their coils so low ie below the post holes, don't you want it closer to the airflow. Iirc Todd had suggested building the coils taller than usual to get better flavor.
So...?

For me (and this is strictly why I do it that way, not sure about others): I find I get better wicking with the cotton not having to be so high from the liquid when taking multiple pulls in succession. I will try it again with the coils up higher, but I did once and I didn't find much of a difference besides the wicking. But I am not Todd and have only a tiny percentage of the experience he has.

I know most wont be interested in this but i have to share with the group. I found a drip tip that fits the vector....only problem is you'll lose your air flow options. The whole top cap. But you'll get a delrin tip, and good quality too, i own most of his products. Its the JMK ciro tip, they were originally made for VPRS and there products but they fit other things. If you dont mind losing your air flow options, the whole top, and having it wide open then its a cheap fast fix for those who cant stand the metal tips, and tops, like me. I also saw pics of it and it doesn't look bad at all, id share those pics but i dont know the guy so i dont wanna post his stuff on here without asking. I will show a pic of the tip itself though. Check out jmktips.bigcartel.com if your interested, i think i might try it myself.
