Tell me about it!! Im just glad i get home before my wife lol she normally doesnt notice, i try to plan my ordering online so it doesnt get delivered on the weekends but it happens. Have you tried the comp cap for the aeolus? It opens it up a lot more. I think you'd be happy with the vector, in my opinion its definitely more then the aeolus.
Well, my newest Aeolus is just another "better quality" clone than the last one. I bought it because my buddy bought my other one from me for the same price as the new one. Couldn't justify coming out of pocket for an authentic just yet. I have seen the comp caps, but again, I can't justify a $35 cap/tip setup on a $15 clone . I've thought about dremmeling out the airflow on the cap a bit, but remembering how you borked your authentic trying to do something similar, I've just dealt with it lol.

Anyone know if there are any replacement delrin/other caps for these? Love the one piece cap/tip design, but after my experiences with the Bambino rda and others, my preferred fused Clapton coils are just too hot for one piece SS caps.

I contacted a vendor about working on one and they told me they would start on it, but they have yet to get back with me on the project (but it's only been about a week). I will reach out to them today.

@Uncletattoowhat

Dang, that vendor got back with me immediately! Apparently his designer/machinist has yet to get The Vector that was sent last week (after our conversation), so it's still in the works. I should have some info soon (give it another week or so).

The vendor is CAVAPES | Mink Machine | 510 Drip Tips | Top Caps | Acrylic | Check out some of their other tips. And they do sell The Vector by VLS as well, so they are working directly from the stock of an atty they carry.

Edit: I had talked to him about the tip possibly being a friction fit (since they do those too), so it might be that. I honestly don't know though if it's even going to happen. I can say though that their CS has been stellar, and I am not even a customer. LOL

Awesome! I may have to hold out and wait until they drop the cap as well and get both at the same time hehe.

I shouold contact them and see if they could do a "deal" on the combo if and when it comes out. That would only make sense, right?! :D

Having said that, I doubt VLS will let that go on too long before they come out with their own -- if it's not already in production or even already to be made available. We shall see!

But like @HeiSINberg said, it's too good to fault for that. I don't usually use tips like this, but I am using mine now with no problems. But I would by an after-market tip/adapter if there was one available.

I guess my only comparison with a cap design like this was the Bambino (clone), and running a hot build in that already small chamber might have been most of the problem with mine heating up. I could never chain vape it like I prefer, so I got rid of it.

Also, after saying that, this may actually end up being my first Authentic RDA that I've ever bought

It's worth it, but know that it's not as short as The Bambino (or The REMatty or The Derringer, or The Stuby! Wow. LOL). It's just a smidgen taller than the Freakshow Mini by WOTOFO. Literally just a hair or two taller. And mine doesn't hardly get hot and I run it at (recently) .3Ω at about 60 watts -- but maybe that's cool compared to how you run yours.

The bambino was also crazy small inside! Lol. This has way way more room, i really do think you'll be fine in all honesty. But my builds arent that hot so i cant say 100%.

Yeah, my current build in the Aeolus (which I have been using for what feels like months now) is a fused clapton around 0.1ohm. She gets pretty hot, but I love dense warm flavor.

That's good to hear, because after a while, i got tired of vaping that hot right off the top of the coils. I love flavor, but not flavor from spitback lol.

Dont worry, me and Mr. Mann will talk you into it! Haha. Do it! But seriously, if you like top air flow and insane quality, you will love the vector. I normally grow tired of a lot of my rda's fast but i will be holding onto this for a while.

Ugh. Peer pressure. I bid on an authentic on eBay last night, so if that goes through, cool. If not, a hunting I will go hehe.

I got in mine two bottomfed Vectors and I'm definitely buying 2 more so I have one for each mod I own. I'm in love. Great flavor, masterfully crafted, easy build, fantastic afc, no leaking. Did I mention I'm in love?

That's great and all, but how do you like the atty?

Has anyone used this and the derringer and can give me some what of a comparison? I love the derringer, I own 3 of them, but the cons of it are starting to wear on me, the leaking from the air holes, the limited build range and I've found the outside gets slick making it hard to pull the cap off. I was gonna order the stumpy but $90 is a bit steep and it doesn't look like anything to innovative, the snub nose looks alright but the post holes are super small and I can see the screws being a problem. I've got a CLT v3+ mini on the way and I also pre ordered the hauster from Cthulhu mods but I feel they're gonna sit on my shelves. My main love for the derringer comes from that hot dense flavor vape. Just wondering how this compares to the derringer, I know they're quite different but I'm just curious about the flavor.

I have 5 Derringers, total Derringer fanatic. I'm selling two of them, keeping three for rotation/backup, but I'll mainly be running Vectors. I haven't played with builds - coil positions etc yet, but as it is now, I'm getting flavor a notch or 2 behind the D. Not quite D level but close - and I guarantee it can be honed in to be better than what I'm getting right now. But for me it's close enough given the craftsmanship of this atty, the fully functional AFC, and no leaking :)

Wow someone actually knows about the snubnose?!?! Lol Sorry i just haven't seen many people that knew about them, but anyway. I have a derringer as well, ive had it for a while actually and suffer from the same problems you've just mentioned. I use the doppel cap on mine it makes it a tiny bit better, but it still doesnt compare to the vector, its so much better. I also have the snubnose and the vector beats that too. If you've ever built a hobo v2 you know it has that little spaghetti stick allen key with tiny grub nuts, yeah thats the snubnose. And the holes arent as small as you'd think, and the juice well isnt that great though. Id still choose the vector out of both of those two. Hope this helps.
