Bad thing.
I can't believe that the Los Angeles folks scheduled this on the same weekend.
Las Vegas is pretty much a suburb of Los Angeles, and this never should have happened.
Los Angeles should change their date before it's too late.
There are a lot of folks around that want Spikey to fail at any cost. Doesn't matter to them if it's at the expense of the vaping community.
The irony is that there wouldn't be a vape meet in LA if VapeFest wasn't going to be in LV. (or haven't you noticed that they always wait until after VapeFest anounces a date before they post a date for a Bash)

The vendor participation was capped at a certain number of vendors.

You will notice that VapeFest is a fundraiser for research. Many feel that Spikey has misused those funds.
I just wish that others would host events without doing so 'out of spite'.
By the way; we are going to have a VBQ At Tremonton UT on June 1st.

Spikey is Spikey, she isn't around to suit anyone but herself and that's fine. She has done a lot of work for vaping and both attracted well wishers and detractors, much as anyone who puts themselves out in public would be apt to do. It goes with the territory.
With respect to dates, Bash went off in Chicago 2013 well after the Fest in NY and had 1650 attendees incl the vendors. No conflict in that date. With respect to West Coast Vapers affair in Anaheim in September, until very late the other night there was ZERO information about Vape Fest in Las Vegas for the same date. I will continue to watch to see which vendors will be at Fest this year in LV, the Flamingo Hotel could use a revamp in the accommodations areas according to the reviews I read online, and the event will be held there. I may just daytrip over to LV and attend both events.
There is also a vaping convention scheduled in Long Beach Calif in Oct and Vape Expo for Jan 2014 in LA. California is an exploding vape scene and I would fully expect more large meets, conventions, whatever you want to call them out here. When you have a lot of new B&M's opening and a lot of interest you are going to spur attendees for meets. I am hoping that we will see more gear vendors coming out to the west coast in response to the sales prospects, I go to see gear not so much to taste juice.
I've known the date of the Las Vegas Vapefest for a few months, if not longer.
But I will agree that it was not necessarily well-known or nearly as well advertised on this forum as it should have been.
I guess it wasn't official or something, but it's the date they were always planning on.
And for the record, right now I don't care who's fault it is that they are now supposed to be on the same date...
Did the Los Angeles organizers not know of the planned date for Vegas? I doubt that.
Did the Las Vegas organizers drag their feet in finalizing the date? Maybe.
Did the Las Vegas orgainzers decide to make it official shortly after Los Angeles jumped in? It appears so.
I really don't care, I'm ...... at both of them now.
Some day I'll figure out who I should be more ...... at, but for now, screw them both.

Tjloa i'm thinking about it. i'm looking up flight prices tonight . I'm always doing research on Vapeing and i like Vegas so why not..lol
I bought my tickets last week. Should be a blast. Will be my first one and I'm pretty excited about it..
