versitle, but not complicated?

ok, im odiously new to all this. and i defiantly find myself rather overwhelmed on what all there is.
ugh. frustration aside, i want a very good either e-go or personal vaporizer (is there a difference these days between those? in some cases the term seems interchangeable).

what is it with some personal vaporizers useing "wax" and "oil" ? is this different from "e-juice" that as i gather the e-go uses?

i want something versitle, but UNcomplicated with ease of use. it appears many personal vaporizers are "rebuildable" but that seems a lot more complicated (even if it isnt) a hassle then i want. and that isnt stupid expensive. im more then willing to spend a very good bit for what im looking for. but what AM i looking for? i need advice and a few explinations from the experianced. please. i impore the knowledgeable here... enlighten me, i humbly beg.

i took a good hard look at the white rino trifecta and almost got it. but im still unsure. very. im getting at the end of my metaphorical rope on all this. i really do hope to switch to vaping over ciggs, but... im so far out of my depth that i cant take this frustration much longer. too much conflicting and confusing information

There is a leaning curve to vaping. No getting around it.

Versitile and uncomplicated? Well, uncomplicated, get a cigalike like a blu or such. Versitile, a basic ego battery will outlast a cigalike but you are going to have to learn about the myriad of options for what you decide to top it with.

Personally I chose a Kanger Evod starter kit. Worked great ot of the box and it was versitile enough to allow me to discover what worked best (for me).
That was months ago. I know what I like now yet still use the kanger starter set also (still great for every day use when portable, reliable is useful).

Vaping is a journey. Knowledge and experience come with time.

I doubt I'll be helpful, but (certainly in the UK) the expressions "wax" or "oil" are not used to describe e-liquid (juice).

There are two types of rebuildable equipment i.m.o.
1) simple tanks where you "replace" the atomiser section and
2) more complicated atomizers often in many pieces where you build the atomizer using wire and wicking material.

A rebuildable clearomiser is a straightforward tank where you swap out the atomizer saving money rather than throw the whole unit away.

Welcome rascle :)

Ego is a "style" of ecig, referring to the size of the battery, as well as the threading on top.

KGO, Riva, Twist, Spinners, are all "Ego" type batteries. They resemble the size of a cigar more than a cigarette.

Check the forum vendors list, almost any of the vendors on it (unless they are only juice suppliers) would sell a starter kit with an Ego battery. As for the atomizer, I would suggest starting with something like an EVOD. It will be about the same diameter as your battery so should give you a more finished look than say a Protank or carto tank.

As for the Wax and oil. We don't deal with that on these forums.

Plus 1 here! For simplicity, a Kanger EVOD starter kit will kick you off nicely. I started there too. This will allow you time to do more research and learn as much as you can while getting the cigs out of your system. In the beginning you don't need something you have to tinker with all the time when you should have time to learn to enjoy vaping and let your body and mind adjust to the difference WHILE you learn. This is just MHO! Good luck hope this helps some.

yeah, i dont want to have to "tinker" with things really. i wasnt ease of use with Some, just not over complicated, versatility. basicly i want to be able to adjust my vaping experience. which... i read that the Kanger evod can do with some kind of special battery. youre the second person ive seen recommend the Kanger as a starter. i may go with that.

will i need replacement parts? would that be wise? i read someplace that the atomizer only lasts so long. i havnt seen kits with replacement parts that i recall. so how do i get a kit along with enough gear so that i dont have to go out looking for something that ild need sooner perhaps then ild know about.

im not worried about the cost of replacing parts as needed... i just need to know what that'd be. i like to have some on hand ahead of time. saves a lot on frustration.

This is what I chose as well. I have only been using my EVOD for 3 days, and I can tell that this is what I have needed for a long time to keep me off of cigarettes. It works great and delivers a great vape experience. Will I ever upgrade to something else? I can't say that I will. I am really liking how good this works and looks.

Triton Halo is simplistic has good ratings and reviews. The only thing is that they have an 808 thread meaning larger that the 510 thread found on most other brands. Simple fix is to buy a 808 to 510 adapter, I bought 2 of them for 8 dollars with shipping. Now can use just about anything i want.

Kanger are a big name in e-cigs. I like their products.
Some e-cig "brands" hide behind self-styled logos and made-up names (for hardware) to charge more and help themselves to their customers hard earned money. It's a shameful business. Many of them actually use Kanger or Joyetech products.
The EVOD was the name Kanger invented for a new type of clearomiser (tank+atomizer) over a year ago. The name became synonymous with Kanger, so they use it on the batteries now as well. The word "EVOD" now has been taken by everybody either to describe a genuine Kanger product or a type of clearomiser.
An EVOD kit, is a popular starter kit that uses the batteries, the evod tanks (and the charger). It's probably the most common starter kit after the eGo+CE4 kit. (These often come in blister packs).
An evod clearo vs. a CE4 is not much of a competition i.m.o. the Evod is better, not least because you can replace the atomiser rather than throw away the whole unit.

I sound like a broken record, but it's a really good song, lol. I started with a Kanger Evod starter kit. It is easy, uncomplicated and does the job of keeping me from reaching for a cigarette. There are lots of options out there to upgrade later, which some folks want to do. I am still using my Kanger egos and doing just fine, thank you. No cigarettes for a couple of months after 40 plus years of heavy smoking.:)

Can't tell if you are in the U.S. or not, for shipping purposes. But here is a link to a good starter Evod kit by Kanger. It comes with everything you need to get started, two batteries, two Evod toppers, a charger, and even a pack of extra replacement heads.

If you use the code ECF at checkout, you get 10% off, making it about $30, with free shipping:

Triton Halo is simplistic has good ratings and reviews.

and who makes Halo's tanks?

it's not Joyetech, it's not Janty, or Vision.....

The Triton is a redesigned Kanger T2.

Halo Triton $6.99
Kanger T2 $3.95

Is the Halo worth it? I don't know. I bought a redesigned T2 for $15 a year ago. It worked great. I would't buy another.

It's a little more expensive than what's been discussed, but ;
I use REOS Mods for the simplicity and durability. A Tucker by trade, I have to keep my eyes on the road and at least one hand, usually two, on the wheel. Anything that involves tinkering, dripping, adjusting... not good for me.
But a REOS is operated with one hand. A push of the thumb and juice flows from the onboard juice bottle up to your atty, cartos, RBA, whatever you attach to the 510 threaded juice cup. Fire the mod by pressing the fire button with an index finger. Set-Up; Remove the front cover, fill the bottle with juice and install charged battery. Then replace front cover. Maintenance; rinse with hot water.
When I first started Vaping over a year and a half ago, an ECF Moderator suggested I look into REOS Mods. That little REOS Mini 14500 cost $140, and I still use it everyday. It has outlived starter kits, eGo Twist Batteries and countless attys, cartos and the like.
I now own four REOS; two mini's that go to work with me, and two VV Grand for at home. Yes, they cost more. But a Metal EOS is nearly indestructible, they last, they retain their value and ,most importantly for me, just so darn easy to use and keep.

Another nod for the evod starter kit. Comes with everything you need, including 5 extra coils in addition to the two with the toppers. Only juice you need to stay away from are those with high citrus flavors. Move up from the evod tank to a protank 2 and then the choices are endless.

and you all have convinced me, hands down. with such a large consensus to the Kangar ... that's what ill get.
im really surprised there wasnt/isnt a sticky thread for noobs asking im sure pretty much the same things over and over.
a lot of people would go "same ol same ol.. let em stew. ive answered this dozens of times from dozens of other noobs and just wont bother with this one"

i appreciate as well as very much value the time and input the replies ive gotten here are. trust me on this. thank you, very much.

A REO is a higher end box mod. They look nice, I don't have one but you couldn't go wrong getting one. However, this gets into external batteries and the care and safety for those.

Anything that is an eGo style battery and above would work well and my wife and buddy got the EVOD and like it. I would only suggest that if what you buy doesn't come with two batteries, that you get a second battery. Always have back-ups to your back-ups. Always have some extra coils on hand as well. Your batteries will die at some point (about 6 months or so) so keep that in mind.

I don't want to fix anything or build or tinker and I actually quit vaping for a while because it was too much to do with what I was using (what I actually settled on after trying a bunch of different items). What I use now is the Protank II, which is the upgrade from the EVOD basically and it is really easy to keep up. Just re-fill and change a coil every now and again.

For me, I personally soak my coils in vodka after each tank (so you will need to keep at least 2 or 3 in rotation) and when they go bad, I just open a new one and put it in rotation.
