Had that "dryness" in a couple of my 75pg/25vg tobacco mixes. It was so bad that it made me cough like crazy. I fondly refer to those as my "Eau De Skunque Period" mixes. Mine was caused by using too high a concentration of TPA DK Tobacco (about 15%), a tiny drop of TA and adding 2% FA Wild Nuts to the mix. ...I tend to like a pronounced "nutty" note to a lot of my mixes so I figured "More is better - right?" Wrong. I was learning the hard way. It seems the Nut type flavors are, by nature, somewhat "dry" flavors. Some Tobaccos are too. Maybe Peanut Butter is similar? These combined in too high a concentrations were pretty nasty. Unvapeable to me. I diluted the original 5 mL batches with an additional 5 mL of unflavored base. Also added about 2% of TPA apple in one and FA Apple pie in the other. Big improvement! Then added 1% FA caramel to each and improved some more. Made it vapeable. To me, the dryness was reduced significantly by reducing the concentrations of inherently "dry" flavors and adding a flavor or two that is "sweet".
YMMV of course.
