You do understand that when copper is heated it gives off copper oxide and that is a poison right?

The woman at the store probably thought you were making a combustion type pipe and that is why she reacted the way she did. If you were making a pipe where material was being burned you would absolutely be doing a very bad thing and absolutely would end up getting sick from it.

Actualy she knew exactly what I was using it for she seen me showing the store helper and then her husband what it was to be used for.

Her problem is with smoking.

Hopefully not churning them out and selling exact duplicates of Secondhands work. He did obviously release the video to help us build the LV but I really don't think it fair to make money off of his design. I am making them as backups in case something happens to mine while he is gone.

truckdrivingmouse,
Glad to hear you are building your own for backup. I too am gathering parts to build some of my own. Will be churning some out soon hopefully.
I guess after a couple of builds, it will get easier. Now, just to get the first one made--LOL

Will try to post again, after typing in response--my post went poof. So, this will be shorter.

Basic response was:
I am new to the forum. I came here and did some research and decided to get a lightvapor after reading glowing testimonials.
Put in order or let it be known that I wanted a lightvapor about a month ago. I was told it would be several days at the time.
Long story short, waited 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, then finally got email notice of posting of new builds soon--watched website all weekend--got email they were up for sale--opened it within an hour of receiving--went to site--sold out.
Got another email---on list for build---waiting for parts to come in--still no ecig. Now, I think secondson is going out of country, so no telling when I might see one.
So, I order well over $100 in supplies to build my own---had to order that much just to get most of it. Will build some for me and those close to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like secondson very much. I have had several discussions via email and PM's. But to say I am disappointed at this time is an understatement. I was looking each day for news of my build.

I have also placed an order for eliquids, carts, atomizers, etc. from China at well over $100 also. Everything is on the way now except an ecig.
I will now try to build one or several. After trying a build I may decide it is too much trouble to mess with.

However, I will say that there should be more availability if this is going to be talked about here, recommended, advertised, etc. Usually when someone post a "how to" video on youtube or a forum, they usually don't mind folks running with the idea, meaning building your own or for others.
I am sure if I did decide to build for resell, I would probably try to change it up some to not be exact.
Even building one for a back-up is technically wrong going along your thought process and taking profit away, but I don't see it like that.

I have other more pressing things at the moment. It was just a thought when I had to order more materials than necessary for one build. I may even build several different mods over time. Because I am new here, I certainly don't want to offend anyone. But ecigs are like any other product, when supply is low and demand is not being met, then others usually take an idea and run with it to help out.

I have good reason to want an ecig and am wanting to get started. I have PADS (peripheral artery disease), which means that the arteries to my legs are clogged up. This makes it very hard to walk any distance. If you saw me on the street, you probably wouldn't even know anything was wrong. If we walked around the block, you would be saying what the he-- is wrong with you. Would be limping, having to stop, etc. My family is even asking when the new type cig is coming.

I am just ready to get vapin. Also, if this even is anything like I think it will be--I will be wanting to help others quit smoking analogs also.

The point of my post was to make sure you understand that if the copper is heated in the use of the product you could potentially be exposing yourself to an even bigger health risk than cigarettes.

I am not entirely clear on what you are using it for. It sounds like it is just going to be as a contact for the battery. If that is the case then I do not see it getting very heated in use.

If you are using it to fabricate a mount for the atomizer and it is going to be in contact with the atomizer then it might not be a great idea.

Please don't misunderstand. Its just I would hate for someone to take secondhands video and start cranking lightvapors out by the thousands.
He was nice enough to supply the video. It doesnt show every aspect of the build. If you own one you can fill in the blanks.

I am all for someone building for themselves or family members. Would just hate to see the newly named LV on sale on thee forum.

Also after watching the video and looking closely at a actual LV the video is from a first generation LV. He has made changes.
