Very tickly cough

Hi I'm a new member. Although I have been vaping for over a year but wanted to discuss something I can't find by searching the internet.

I'm getting every so often a horrible uncontrollable tickle in the back of my throat, but it's only once in a while. In fact since I started vaping it's only happened a hand full of times. Really not sure what it's related to and yesterday it was so bad I needed to leave the office as it was making me gag and vomit. Although I understand when you switch from normal cigs to vaping there is coughing as well and drink lots of fluid but as I said I've been vaping for over a year. I progressed from e-cigs to ego type then on to my kangatech sub box. I change my coils or rebuild regularly and fill new liquid so there is no dry burnt vape. So really not sure what is causing this bit I really waned to find if other have experienced so I can avoid this again. Thanks

It's possible that the extra moisture in the nose (by vaping) is dripping in the back of the throat causing the "tickle" sensation with cough. That's the only thing I can think of, but others may chime in.

If it persists that bad a visit to your doctor or possibly an ear, nose throat specialist might be a good idea. Sometimes irritation or inflammation of the vocal cords can do something like that, and it's quite simple for the doctor to take a look. Good luck!

Go and see a Dr and see what he has to say. I get a cough if I vape at too high a wattage I stick at 30 to 40 watts max so quite a cool vape. Still seem to get a good amount of vapour. The coils I use are 0.5 ohm.

High PG juices give me an itchy throat. I have coughed till I thought I would pass out. Keep up with the % in your juices and see if the PG is the culprit.

For me it's high VG liquids that will cause this, almost no throat hit, but instant cough.

Since you have been vaping over a year,,and these episodes are "every so often", i wouldn't think it was vaping.
