I've read that after you reach 70 posts you can no longer start a new thread in the New Members Forum. I've looked at the Veterans forum and have noticed that there are usually only 1 reply and then the thread is closed and replies take a lot longer to post. The NMF has tons of replies with tons of info and insights and different perspectives. So my questions are why are the threads closed after 1 or 2 posts and why can we no longer post in the NMF after posting 70 posts? Also, is the Veterans Forum reserved for specific questions?

Classwife is correct. "Ask the Veterans" is set up differently from other parts of the forum, only one question is allowed per thread.

As for not being able to start a new thread in the New Members forum after you have 70 posts, it's to keep that forum for new members and to encourage older members to move on to the rest of the forum.

hahaha! You mean it's like dog years? Don't tell me that. And here I was thinking I was looking pink cheeked and healthy since I started vaping. Great!

I'll have your slippers warmed up when you arrive at the old folks home. Trust me, it becomes homey. (I cannot reveal all the stuff that awaits you in the Vet forum as that would be a violation.)
