vg/pg ratio suggestions please

Hello folks, I've been dabbling with DIY using the Ejiuce me up, SO far just using the default 50/50 ratio
Is there a better ratio to get more flavor from my juice? I think I'm a bit confused on what the differences
will do.

VG is thicker so for the flavors to blend it will take longer or more work such as hot baths. PG being thinner will blend better. I go 30pg/70vg for bigger clouds.

Flavor really doesn't have to do with vg/pg ratio. vg creates the 'cloud' and pg creates more of a throaty feel. The only thing I can think between the two that would influence flavor much is the steep time. vg being thicker requires more steeping time for flavors to mix.

The best way to find out the differences is to make several small batches, all using the same flavor % but with different PG/VG ratios.
That will take a little time and effort but once you find out what works for you, it will have been worth it.

I dont remember where I got this from but its helped me figure out what I want to mix

100% PG - Most throat hit, thinnest liquid, most flavor tasted
60/40 - Very common cartomizer and tank mixture. More vapor than 100% PG.
50/50 - Best of both worlds.
40/60 - More Vapor. Would clog cartomizers very quickly.
20/80 - Very thick, most vapor. Most likely the highest VG you can buy.
100% VG - Very rare, as most flavorings and liquid nicotine are in PG carriers.

I use 30pg/70vg and get no clogs at all, but I use light colored flavorings.

The OP may want to try 60pg/40vg. That seems to bring one a little closer to still having ample clouds with a pretty decent throat hit than the very popular 50/50 does.

However, I agree with person who said mix sample batches. Some eliquids really do taste better with more PG, or more VG, depending on what flavorings you are using, and only you can decide that. This is why some vendors "suggest a certain ratio" even though providing alternative ratios for those who want them: because they have found their particular recipe for that juice is best at their suggested ratio.

You can also add distilled water, sometimes you'd see AG Aqueous Glycerin - just VG with distilled water added. Even a few percent of water makes the thick glycerin a lot runnier. I use 3% but some add up to 15%. Some use a saline water.

It can improve wicking with some wicks, maybe it would fix the cartimizer clogging mentioned above? Some find it helps with vaping drying their throats.
