Quick Math Check... PG & VG Ratios

Im not getting any where with the calculators on this one... If I have the follwoing..

10 ML made up of 30% pure PG and 70% of 50/50 pg/vg... What would the resulting 10ml be? Ive come up with two different ratios depending on method. But let me break it down another way.

3ml @ 100% pg
7ml @ 50/50 pg and vg

10ml = ? pg / ? vg

Can anyone school me on a formula to use to get the resulting pg/vg ratio? TIA

Partial fractions.

you have thirty percent (3/10) of 100% pg, and 70% (7/10) of 50% pg.

0.3 x 1.0 + 0.7 x 0.5 = 0.65 (65% pg)

Similarly, the mix has 70% of 50% vg

0.7 x 0.5 = 0.35 (35% vg)

7ml of 50/50 is 3.5ml pg & 3.5ml vg
Add 3ml pg you end up with 6.5ml pg & 3.5ml vg (65% & 35%)

So now to get my target 70/30 I have the following...

MarkFM Method
0.4 x 1.0 + 0.6 x 0.5 = 0.70 (70% pg)
0.6 x 0.5 = 0.30 (30% vg)

AZPlumber Method
6ml of 50/50 = 3ml pg / 3ml vg
Add 4ml pg + 3 ml pg for 7 ml pg & 3 ml vg (70% & 30%)

I think its making perfect sense to me now. Im going to use both methods as a way to double check my work. Thanks again!

ive made a calculator in excel that counts for water or dilluted vg to get an exact vg % in your mix if its of any help
