VG Vendor?

Where is a good place to get really good and pure VG for DIY liquids? I got some pharma-grade PG from Totally Wicked, but they don't sell VG there. I want to be able to thicken my juices up a bit and produce more vapor.

Just run to your local Wal-Mart or Wal-Greens. Grab up some USP Glycerin - some people will say to go to helth food store and look for 'NOW' brand VG also. Totally up to you.

I looked at Walgreen's earlier this week but couldn't find it. People working there just stared at me blankly when I asked for help finding it....

I'll try WalMart this weekend, though I don't imagine I'll get any better help. Where at WalMart do you find it? The one near me is like a small city...

Look over by the pharmacy, kind of by the suppliments. It will be about waist level (if it is in the same place - all Wally worlds can be different you know) in a clear bottle with a white label. It will have blue lettering with a sort of pink area surrounding it with 'HUMCO' in large, double lined letters and a tiny 'USP' in the upper right corner.

It took me some time to find it also - but they definitely have it, and somebody should know, but most of them probably won't. lol - Just take your time and look and you'll find it. Most likely someone in the pharmacy can help you if you have trouble.

Walmart will have it, in the OTC section near the pharmacy, probably among the skin care products.

Look for a 6 ounce clear plastic bottle with a white cap. It will say:

Glycerin (usp)
Skin Protectant

There will be a red horizontal stripe and a blue horizontal stripe across the top of the label (red above blue) over the word "GLYCERIN"

The manufacturer's name, "Humco" will be at the bottom of the label inside a blue horizontal stripe.

That's interesting - that sounds like a stark contrast to the bottle on my desk here! lol - so I guess make sure to keep an open eye for label types too!

USP Glycerin =/ Vegetable Glycerin FWIW. I'd personally stick to 100% vegetable glycerin, but that's just me. Check the thread on Humco Glycerin if you want to know more. It's in the DIY e-liq sub forum.

I bought my VG and PG at a planetrx dot com (I hate not being able to post links yet)

Very cheap prices, shipping is a tad high. $5.71 for 16oz of VG is better than I found anywhere else in a store.

The PG is about $10 for 16oz

Hope that helps. It isn't local, but it works!
