I drive a '03 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, standard trans, huge knobby tires, a ton of road noise and vibration, and keep my Pilot in the hand that's on the gearshift to boot.
Mine doesn't come on, unless my hand passes by the heater vent on the way to my mouth
They've never come on touring in my wife's Montanna either. It's somewhere in the middle between my Jeep, and Terra's Nissan, in terms of road noise/vibration I'm sure.
I think that it's likely a particular frequency that turns them on, not necessarily the volume of noise, or amount of vibration.
In that case, Terraphon, it's kinda unlucky your car produces it...
I know the slightest breeze WILL turn it on though. So when all this friggin snow finally melts and I pull the hardtop off my Jeep... I'm sure I'll be equally screwed as well, LOL.
