I'm vaping! :)

I have a tiny issue though and need advice. I only have 2 RTV flavours and I've tried them both and don't like them. I have lots of flavours for mixing, and PG/VG/32mg/bottles etc...... I'm sure I can manage mixing a few but have heard they have to steep. Should I do it anyway? Caramel Apple just isn't doing it for me ... what was I thinking?

You are a Vaper !!!!

DIY Trick (not really in noobie land stuff):
Boil a little water, then take it off the heat and let cool a minute.
Put capped bottles that need steeping in hot water...let sit until water is cold.
shake, and enjoy.
Speeds up steeping time by blending/mending of flavors.

Pink- really....really!

I feel painfully inadequate. I blew quite a bit of money on several starter packs in the past week, but all of them were for normal e cigs. I'm a little hesitant to try out all the fancy gizmos with all the bells and whistles.

Maybe I'll try out everything out there once I get good an settled. For the moment, the cigs are treating me quite well so I don't see a reason to upgrade (no matter how much your list of toys tempts me (oh so tempting)).

Anyway, all I can say is that I hope you have fun with all those shiny new toys of yours. :toast:

Definitely try steeping them. 48 hours cap and dripper off. Shake several times a day. After the 48 hours, cap and dripper back on shaking whenever you think about it. Try them in a week or two....see if they improve. If not, put them away for a while. Your taste buds will change up on you as they heal from the effects of smoking. ;)

Welcome to the vape world!!!!!! :D

Thanks! That sounds like great advice. I can see how putting the less favourite ones away for awhile is a much better idea than trying to vape them anyway and maybe developing a true dislike. As far as the steeping - it makes total sense that the flavours would meld better with time and I will do it - but - they're right there, calling to me, a little mystery in every tiny bottle ... haha

Sorry to hear that you are not liking your first flavors. My first was an RY4 and thankfully I really liked it - well at least for the first week anyway. Not sure what flavors you got for mixing. I am very new to the DIY - so by no means an expert. What I have read is that some fruit flavors do not require as much or possibly any steeping.

The one I have made recently that I have been enjoying is a peppermint mix. I also added a bit of sweetner, Koolada and a few drops of menthol. I have not tried vaping it immediately - but for sure after 24 hrs it has been good.

Good luck and I hope you can find a juice that tastes good - you have so much new stuff to try this week  you for sure need a good juice too :toast:

Well, it's better today. I think the problem in part is the primer. I wiped off and blew out the atomizers but there was a very distinctive taste that doesn't seem to be as prominent today. It's funny that you would mention mint because that's the first flavour I started to crave. I don't have any yet but it will be in my next order. :p

WAIT! WHAT?? You mean they come in OTHER colours????? hahaha

Yes, pink. :headbang:

I'm a self-admitted girly-girl who thinks 'mods' must have something to do with rhinestones and glitter ....... In my defence, it is a slightly more sophisticated, soft petal pink and not the bright hot pink I loved when I was 10. That would be ugly!

Also (hehe) - I did get the limited edition end-cap with the spider on it. Kind of a slightly psycho mix of beauty and bugs??

ETS: (pics when it gets here)

I thought about getting one of those end caps. :D. Can't decide if I like one enough to purchase one. The spider does look cool but I'm not sure if I would want that since I really don't like spiders.

Inadequate? No way!!! I think you're wise to enjoy what's working for you. There's lots of time to branch out if/when you find yourself wanting something different. From what I can gather, this industry seems to move at a fairly quick pace with new things coming out fairly frequently. Even here there's that little bit of peer pressure to buy what's hot and new but really, if you're not totally over the moon about it or it doesn't fit your current needs, why spend the money? When something really tempts you ask questions, read up a little and make a purchase when you're comfortable. You'll know when that new right thing for you comes along.

I know all that may sound odd coming from me but I do have a practical side too. That said, when I made the decision to go e, I wanted it to be just as much about fun as it is about quitting and so far I'm really enjoying it. ;)

So here's a bit of a run-down from yesterday.

I tried the 510T's and liked them. The size was nice, the draw was easy and they charge quickly. I really can't say a thing wrong about them. I thought they would be the only ones to arrive but I also got the EGO C 1100mAh starter kits so they were next.

Nice! I like the size (won't have to hunt for them all the time) and that they seem to last a long time. Our little dog seemed quite interested in the new smells at first, but when he realized that there was nothing to eat he lost interest. He's never been one to get into things but I know to make very sure he has no access to any of this and how dangerous it can be.

When hubby got home he tried the 510T first too. I don't know what he was expecting but he was quite impressed. Then he tried the EGO C and took to it like a duck to another duck! :toast: He put the 510T down and never gave it another look :2cool: I noticed this morning that he had taken his EGO C set to work with him (and his analogs -but that's fine) and the car charger and both tanks of strawberries and whipped cream that I made yesterday. He also took some milk chocolate and a caramel one. He drives transport for the oilfield, with some pretty long hours so he has a lot of vaping time. I'm glad he went prepared! I'll get an update when he calls at lunch.

So we vaped most of the evening, with no headaches or sore throats. Neither of us touched an analog, not even our usual one before bed, because we didn't really crave one. We normally smoke outside on the back deck but there was such a snow storm last night and it was so nice to curl up on the couch and watch a show and vape in comfort. ;)

The only thing I can say on the down side is that I need to learn how to 'dry burn' and see if I can get that primer taste gone. I tried but couldn't get the coil to go red?????

I did learn that filling the atty with juice via a needle tip makes a ton of difference. I did let my first one sit with a full tank attached so the juice could saturate it but still got a bit of a burn taste for the first few puffs. Not so when I filled it first. I also learned that you can actually push the tank in too far and if you do the draw is stiff and the vapour is nil. Giving it a tiny twist to back it off a teeny tiny bit corrects that.

So all in all, money well spent (thank goodness - wheeeew!!haha). I have a bunch more flavours coming today or tomorrow and the Twists, so next will be a foray into the world of variable voltage - I can't wait!

******Thank you all for being so supportive and taking your valuable time to read and comment. It means a lot. I know I'm not a virgin any more  but I'm still an nice girl and I hope you'll keep sharing all your great stuff!!

Oh I hear ya! I don't like spiders either!! But that's kinda why I got it  ..... and to balance out the pink

Not to try and encourage you or anything, but ProVape has the little flower one on sale right now (as well as the rest) for $12.95 - evil grin!
