So...pdib....how do you make this even better?![]()
What, did you move to Philadelphia and become a motivational speaker?
. . . . . . . When are you gonna try the Nextel, gdeal? I'm really curious to see what a ceramics aficionado thinks of it.

I' m really a displaced New Yorker When are you gonna try the Nextel, gdeal? I'm really curious to see what a ceramics aficionado thinks of it.
Pdib, i have been using 3 strands and after about a day later the vapor production decreases quite a bit and the flavor changes drastically to very faint. Been fiddling around, this was the first wick i used for a whole day and noticed the difference. Any genius trouble shooting ideas?
I think i know what the problem is dude. 42+ hours without sleep and 4 cans of red bull. My tastebuds are numbed and my body probably really dehydrated. All my devices taste bland with my favorite juices.
Sleepy time...
OOOH this looks good, just got my aga set up as well. Has any one tried this with #200 mesh, i have a load coming and some .28 kanthal but I'm vaping on a 5v straight through so a coil wrap is going to be tricky needing 8/9 wraps i think.
I finally tried this too. I had to drill out the hole in a new AGA-T2 to get a five wick to fit and wrapped that with 8/7 of 28 gauge for 1.4 ohms. It vapes and *tastes* quite nice but I too noticed "flooding". I set it down after a few big puffs off it, looked at the tank after a few minutes and what had started out as a full tank was now down by a third! Much of that juice ended up in the cap and I'm sure the wicks must have used some of it too on the initial wicking. For whatever reason it seems to be done doing that now.
I like it, if I can figure out how to keep it from flooding under the cap.
This is quite curious, because the way i understand it the capillary action should never flood; that is, there isnt such a thing as "too much wicking", since once all the spots are filled there is no longer any wicking force.
My hypothesis is that the flooding may come from the help of your sucion force as you vape. Maybe try cranking the power up a notch to compensate?
IDK, maybe since I vape @~.6Ω? (5 wrap of 26) ←{re:Kanj.nguyen's "cranking the power up"} Is it possible one might have to advise, "tilt less"???![]()
This was the first thing I wondered about too so of course I had to experiment. Tilt doesn't seem to have enough effect to make that big a difference... which I like! It actually vapes quite well in a completely upright (although unnatural) position. The biggest clue I have right now is that once the tank got some air space in it, about 2/3rds full, this effect trickled off or quit completely, I'm not sure which... but that first 1/3rd of a tank, most of it ended up unvaped in the top chamber.

edit: oh, yeah, and Hildicat's great tutorial, which helped me immensely on my first rba coils!
