All things considered, that is quite a large step in our favor!

My main complaint is toward the end where he states that 'conventional' secession methods likely double the chance of success. Whereas I do believe that vaping far exceeds that likelihood, AND without all the required BP cautions!

Nonetheless, not a bad vid,

Like Iffy I think its a big step in our favor. Although he missed out on a few key things in the video that he could have touched base on, eg. MAOI's in analogs adding to the addictive nature of nicotene; that nicotene itself is no more dangerous than caffeine; and that vaping has a lot less side effects/risks compared to "conventional" smoking secession products. (Vaping has never made me want to stab someone, Chantix did.)

And while I agree that the push at the end towards "conventional and approved" smoking secession methods is a bit of a shot in the gut after all the good talk about vaping, I can see where PSU is coming from. I'm sure that if they didn't promote the patch/gum/Chantix then they'd lose a bit of funding or at least consideration for running future trials from BP.

I wish their survey was larger than 104 people, and I wish they had a comparable survey of people who "quit" smoking a year ago with conventional methods. Maybe then he'd see that "doubling" your chance of success with traditional methods would actually be "increasing 10 fold" your chance of success with vaping.

Love to get a copy of what the actual survey asked to see if they even touched base on the idea that many of us have attempted to quit in the past with traditional methods only to relapse, only to find that vaping was the ideal method for us to kick the habit.

Bump for Awesomeness!!!

Thanks for sharing this one AMP - what a great video and powerful statistic: only 8% of successful Vapers use mini 808's and
510's as their main source... It's look like the scientists are finally talking to the people like us who actually use this stuff!

I think if I had discovered big battery vaping in the beginning, it would have made it all so much easier...

I saw one study one time where they used "nicotine free mini's" and then determined "E-Cigs are not a viable way to quit" . . .

I quit for about a year on Chantix, but started having REALLY WEIRD dreams that got so wierd that I convinced myself that I was having other peoples dreams. Thanks, but I'd rather smoke than have a psychotic break. They stopped as soon as I stopped Chantix, but then I went right back to smoking.
