@Arvidx - cool ideal - nice vid.

How are you getting a precise measurement on the resistance of the coil. A slight change from .12 to .09 goes from 10 amps to 13.3 amps. My DMM only goes out one decimal point. Are the enerloop batts self limiting?

Yeah man things get weirder down here in the sub sub ohm area... I also wondered when I started, how I was going to measure this. Mine tester also limits to one decimal place and has some lead resistance, so really I cannot get an accurate measurement. So here's the way that went... I started by calculating out how much wire I'd need for around the .15 ohm coil, found that 20 gauge gets it close for a reasonable size... sorry I lost the numbers, and this is why I am not looking them back up... It seems to be EXTREMELY forgiving so far I know I am using less length than the .15 required hence the .1 references. Once I get within range, and you can tell by the response time during testing... so far I have not been able to undershoot the resistance. A single AA will self limit, but this 4 way set should not really, so I am sure there are ways to undershoot the resistance. However I have tried a number of coils on the earlier model, and its not hard to get a good vape. I have to go back through the varieties in this 4 batt setup, but so far, 1 or 2 wrap coils of 20g work well, I also did parallel coils on the other, where I took 26 or 28 gauge, and did not twist them, but ran 4-6 lines in a single wrap around the coil as well. This is definitely something that deserves more testing and attention, and I only have so much time, so I wanted to get it into the hands of the community again as a viable concept since my first thread with its more speculative nature, didn't seem to get anyone very interested.

Here's that thread with a fair amount of information in it as well. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/409297-1-ohm-vaping-yes-1-a.html

Oh and here's the a NiMh discharge testing thread up to 10 amp. The AA NiMH Performance Test Thread

Ok...read the thread. I also looked up wire temps and it seems that you need at least 12 amps for 20g @1.1v to get a similar wire temp at 3.8v for a 1ohm 28g coil (~3.5amp). (disclaimer: This is for Nichrome...)

What happens when you do a dry burn? Do the coils glow? Maybe a quick pic?

Here's a quick dry burn for ya.
