Great job Jimi D.!

I think that they are taking these basic acids and alkaline ingredients, diluting them with a bit of PG and re-selling them at a MUCH higher price.

I think "Bitter Wizard" may be vinegar. It seems from my own experience and the feedback from all the other great ECF'ers on this thread that vinegar REALLY works well with the tobacco flavors.

This is the description from FA for Bitter Wizard:

Balance your juice ! With the Bitter Wizard we are glad to announce another new development, designed to reduce or eliminate the sweet basic taste given by PG or VG. Adding the BW at 1%, vapers can get a pleasant bitter aftertaste, which can be enhanced further increasing the dosage. BW blends well with dark and tobacco flavors. Give it a try. The bitter taste you were looking for.

Bitter Wizard cost: 10ml @ $3.99 USD

AC Vinegar cost: 473ml (16 oz.) @ about $3.00 USD

Let's see how much 473ml of Bitter Wizard would cost: $3.99 X 47.3 = $188.73 USD

What do you guys think?

Pete

Could be but likely better off buying a reagent grade citric acid or acetic acid without the water.

Okay...What I think is happening with these flavor enhancers.

I think it is a HIDDEN scam in the industry! Nobody tells us we really should be controlling the pH of our juices, but we really need to, and add acid to our juices to lower the pH and allow the flavors to come through.....

Absolutely!

Fascinating thread, and a big thank you to all (Pete is my juice hero ;) ) contributors!

I really don't have anything to contribute...fairly noob here with limited diy experience and I'm not a chemist/science geek so I'll bow to those that know what they're talking about ;) I can however say I have tried vape wizard (MTS) on a dessert type mix (1 drop per about 8 ml) with nic and noticed a big difference, however....the difference seemed to disappear gradually over a period of days. What I mean is, I noticed an immediate change in the thickness/richness of the mix and improved flavor, but within a couple of days the mix seemed to 'revert' closer to it's original state, and within a couple more days the 'change' had disappeared completely.
Anyone else notice this?
Pete, have you held on to any of your test mixes long enough to see if this happens with the vinegar as well?

There is no vinegar in the bitter wizard.. I just tasted it right out of the bottle.. I taste pg and severe bitterness. Kids don't try this at home..WOW...lol

So it seems like we are trying to control the nic taste or balance? So logic would be use more for higher nic juices and less for for lower nic juices.

My juices are 30 mg nic and 4 drops per 10 ml (acv) works best for me....but everybodys tastes are differnet.

My vapes have always been tobacco but I just got some flavors from vapingzone. Much to my surprise I kinda of like them tasty but not too much. So this is going to give me a chance to compare what happens adding acv to flavors compared to tobacco mixes. Going to let it settle for a couple of hours and test

yea your'e correct. When I tasted the bitter wizard.. There was a sweet taste at the beginning. Then changed to bitter right after.. this bitterness comes from natural tobacco states Flavourart..

Oh I get it now, Coffee kicked in. I misread that you had tasted straight pg and it was bitter.

In the "Houston We Have A Problem" thread Kurt said that some nic vendors add citric acid to their nicotine to reduce the peppery taste and (I think) balance the pH. Does anyone know him enough to PM him? I imagine he knows but may be reluctant to tell us because of confidentiality issues with vendors... but maybe not.
