I am totally unimpressed with the Vision Ego Cartomizers REBUILDABLE (v2.0). I thought this was going to be a great solution. The vapor output is low compared the Boge cartomizers I have been using. Draw is very tight and not much flavor.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I thought it was just fill and go.

I filled it up and let it sit overnight before using it.

I am using a KGO and I got the 2.4ohm. Not sure if I want to waste any more juice to try again.

Next up would be to maybe try the Vivi Nova or maybe I will just stick with the Boge cartomizer.

I and 30 friends are using the Stardusts for over a month and really enjoy them BUT they are the newer version with the long wick. As for air draw I had to adjust my clearo. Also have the Vivi Nova and it vapes the same. Only diff is the Stardust looks much better on my Kgo.
i have heard a lot about the tight draw from the stardust, i used a dremel on one of mine and shaved a groove on the 510 thredding of the stardust and made the airflow holes on the sides of it deeper, works perfectly now. well it did until i took it apart 1 to many times ;)

It is the new rebuildable version. It has long wicks. What ohm are you using and how do you adjust it? I agree that it looks good. I just wish it worked better. I get tons of vapor with the Boge.

First I pulled the airway tube at the batt end of the clearo out. Helped a bit. I then cut a slot in the airway of the clearo and that did the trick. Much like the poster above. Funny thing is it was only a problem with 4 of us- the other 27 had no air draw problem at all.

Edit: put them in a vise wrapped in rubber tire tube and used a jigsaw with a fine blade. I believe the problem is with the air slots on the Kgo batts. On my Don I had to slot the connector that's attached to the tube.

Hi Guys, On a note as to compatibility of the eGo threaded cartomizers. I have experienced this "mystical" airflow problem on a few different devices. I own a few Joye eGo batteries. I own a few clone types as well. Everything that has a eGo skirt threading has clearance built into it for airflow. The problems that I have experienced have been with the threading and machining inconsistancies in the manufacturing. All the joye eGo batteries are not an issue. The clones I have two kits both containing two batteries, one kit both batteries, threads extend up beyond the taper when compared to the eGo batteries, threreby not allowing the .5mm of clearance around the inner of the carto affecting airflow dramatically. On the other kit one battery is identical to the other two(no proper taper) and one has a taper near the top of the threads allowing proper airflow. These clones are all from the same manufacturer, all purchased from the same retailer, the same day. I have since machined the three offending batteries and re threaded them properly. It took the sacrifice of a stardust carto to rethread them but they all will work with any eGo threaded carto correctly without issues.

I am using the Kgo and have tried the rebuildable with short and long wicks. I have also tried the regular stardust with long wicks. Both give me good amount of vape but a muted flavor. I found if you tighten them down too much on the heads and the ego threaded sides then you will lose a lot or all airflow. Try and loosen the head a tiny bit and loosen the battery connection and the airflow gets better but the flavor is still pretty bad. I am about to give up on the wicking systems and go for a carto/tank setup like a J-Tank.

I tried it loose and it worked much better. Maybe the KGO does not work with these well or I have a bad KGO.

So this is a fiddley fix but boy do they work amazing afterward. Take apart the replaceable head, then take the center post and drill it out with a 1/16 drill bit removing the ......ly small cone tip it has. This is the fix for the low vapor production and stiff draw. Make a coil like you would for the odyessus or iAtty. Resistance wire with Nonresistant wire twisted on to the ends of the resistance wire. You can wrap your coil to any ohm I did 1.8ohm. Take two pieces of wick about and inch long and wrap the coil in the middle. This fixes the poor flavor, it wicks better the new wick. Then put the replaceable head back together. The negitive lead is pinched inbetween the rubber gromet and the outer body, while the positive is pinched inbetween the inside of the gromet and the center post. Wiggle the excess wire till it breaks off leaving a clean connection. Leave the excess wick to hang down into the tank. After this mine was vaping like a train.

I know this is fiddley and requires a rebuild and a modification but it works really well afterwards. I like the ease of the Ego vision when I'm on the go with my Ego Twist so this is worth it to me. It also means these are rebuildable and I only have to replace the tube if it breaks.
