Spinner 1300 came in today. The ONLY down side of it that I really don't like is that the auto shut off is at 8 seconds(if that). almost too little time. I think it is actually less than the advertised rate of 8. can be kinda annoying. anyone else run into less than 8 shut off? my joye ego 650 pass through upgrade has 10 seconds, so it almost never shuts down while on the draw, the spinner does. the pass through upgrade has a "variable volt" unregulated setting I have been playing with last couple days that I like. When you use it off the usb chord, no issue with the unregulated aspect, as it's always at full charge, kicks up the voltage enough, and I work at the computer. going to spend the weekend trying to decide if I can get past the shut off thing. I do dig the variable volt thing, nice being able to dial it in. I knew the specs before buying and didn't think it would be an issue, as it was only 2 seconds.... I have to "double" down on the hit, prime it for 3 or 4 secs, let off the button, then I can draw on it for real. Any other way around it? Only solution the joye c twist 1000? ....or better. ha. getting burned out on the money going out thing, so I'll live with it for a while. As always, thanks for the input. cheers.

Got my spinner about 2 wks ago, same result.I vape like a mad man when possible and have been rotating 2 1000mah twists to that point. I was able to vape a twist charge down in 8 hours so I like a full charged spare batt with me when leaving the house for work. Noticed the cut-off right from the git go. Also my button would stick if pushed a little down and in, button is a little to close to the fat little body. I started the double push on the switch - halfway through a draw do a quick re-click and all is well. I hardly notice eather issue since I got used to it. I hear you on the money thing, got 2 of my 5 orders in from black Friday/cyber Monday and wondering and starting to feel uncomfortable on the spending this time of year. vaping to quit the analogs, not shopping!

yep. the money gets spendy, but... I still haven't spent more than I would of on smokes. 6 weeks, 42 days, not a single smoke. after 32 years smoking it's a record. The spinner charge has lasted me all day today from about 2pm till now, almost 11pm. that's what I got it for was charge life coupled with the variable volt, which I have to say, is really really nice. I get mass vapor production from my Vision ce4 and from my kanger bottom coil, so no complaints on any of that. the cut off just annoys the hell out of me. also kicked up the pg levels in my liquid for a quicker throat hit. seems to help a little with the cut off factor if I can get the hit quicker. if you can try that, it may help you a little too. going to keep plugging along with it, see if I can't get past it. Next carton money,... something without an annoying cut off. or at the very least, more time before it...might just get an ego c twist and call it good for the next 6 months or so, and then the provari...ha. lol.

when taking long drags i cycle the button anyways and never noticed the shut off before. dont think i could take a full 8 or 10 second draw without choking out from all the vapor. what kind of device are you using to need a full 8 second draw? maybe its not putting out enough vapor. I know with my current setup and juice a straight 8-10 second draw would get your head spinning.

also look into the new vamo, for a vv mod its cheap and the batteries last a long time. once into rechargeable batteries you start to think "man why did I waste all this cash on disposable junk"

using Vision ce4 rebuildable with 2.4 ohm heads and a kranger bottom coil. "need" has nothing to do with it, its just what I like. lol. I'm using 24 mg nic for the lowest, 36 mg for the highest. that's a need. the clearo just get hot and vapor production at it's best, this kicks off. still pretty annoying.

adding more pg and higher nicotine to my liquid has helped with the cut off, the throat hit is better, so the cut off time is pretty close to the wire, although i don't think this thing is actually 8 seconds.

One more question. I've read it's bad to totally deplete your battery, then charge. so, how do you know it's getting "low"?

Provari has a 16 second cutoff and a 3.5 amp current limit. One month of around 2 packs of cheap cigarettes a day at the carton price is about equal to one Provari with batteries and a charger (around $200). That kind of thinking is how I finally justified buying one. I haven't spent a dime on anything besides cartos and juice since I bought my Provari. There's just no point in trying anything else ... yet! ;)

not meaning anything by my need statement, just trying to understand how you can even get an 8 second drag, since the first post I even sat here and tried it, i cant make it past 6 seconds before choking to death and looking like a busted fire extinguisher when i exhale.

yes its better to charge a batt before full empty, but not required, and it wont kill anything to wait. if your not sure just switch it out after a few hours or like 1/2 day.

the average ego is rated at 300 charge cycles max and letting them relax then charging before dead may extent that, but 2 or 3 in rotation is still a long time.

whew i feel dizzy now.........................

i didn't take any meaning from "need", i was just being sarcastic. I like to "smoke", always did. was just trying to be cheeky, sorry if you thought anything otherwise. lost in text translation. I like big vapor, and tons of nicotine, that's all i meant by the need thing. smoked for 32 years, and it just kinda goes with that. I'm an old school smoker, if a little is good, more is fantastic. thanks for the info.

I'm going to have to be into this for at least 6 months to a year before I drop 2 c notes on a battery set up. I have looked at them in all honesty though. thanks

I bought my first 510 after reading a while here. Back then, the 510 and the 808 were the top two starter ecigs. Then, the eGo came out and I bought one of those, and then a Riva. Variable voltage started up and it took two years for me to decide on the Provari. I'm not remorseful about my early purchases, though. I have plenty of backups in case one of my other ecigs dies. I still have a couple of eGo batteries from a year and a half ago that still work and some 510 batts that charge well.

We all need backups. Who knows, this time next year there will be more razzle dazzle ecig hardware to confuse us!

Thank you for the info. I started on Blu's, liked the idea, hated the batts. next, the 510 ego thing. (buying for two, me and my wife, which explains the cash flow thing a little more accurately, 2 of everything). Then the Spinners. It's been 6 weeks, no smokes, so I am making due pretty well with the equipment i have, while learning all the while. I too have enough back ups that smoking again won't be on the radar. Blu gave us our money back, and the others, I donated some batts and stuff to my parents, we won't use it now. so I don't regret any of the equipment I have, even the 510 attys are good for trying out new flavors. I've just spent what I too, would have smoked. Now it's time to stop spending. I have a pass through ego c upgrade that I can use at my computer all day, and the spinner batt lasts forever. the cut off AND the lack of any literature from the factory are the only two things I don't like about the spinner. thanks again.
