My question if someone knows is, they are selling the stardust in reg and low resistance ....i'm using ego 900mah batteries and don't know what to buy LR or REG resistance (don't know the difference !!) Thanks guys for your input , it's good to learn !!!

LR would be best on your 900mAh Egos for sure, the Reg resistance doesnt work to well on the Ego's get the lower resistance

could you please explain this to me a bit more? Not sure where to buy these? They will be coming out in colors soon, at rubbercity anyway...want those but gotta master it first. Thanks

To rebuild the coil on them is very simple, maybe Google Rebuilding my Stardust or look at the stardust thread in the Gotvapes forum, there is a video of taking them apart to clean and also re-building the coil, all ya need is some good wick and some Kanthal and they can last forever if you take the 10 Min to rebuild them.

That is my next step. At time of purchase I had no idea I could re build it. Just waiting on my next order to pick up some wick and wire.

If you have old clearos laying around you can cut about a half inch of the wick off of one of them and just rewrap with your old coil wire, just make sure you wipe the wire off. Want a warmer vape and more vapor? Just wrap it with 3 wraps instead of 4, just make sure the wraps are evenly spaced out, and cut off the excess wire. Make sure one of the ends is about a 1/4 inch, the other end can be shorter, the longer end goes in the middle.

Btw the tight draw can also be fixed by making sure your center tube is actually centered, easy way to check is roll it around vertically and look where the rubber plug meets the bottom of the tip, it should be pretty uniform all the way around. If not then gently rock the stardust in the opposite direction while on a batt to straighten it out, this has worked on 4 of them for me and the people I loaned/gave them to.

I loved mine when I got it, I have been using it for 2 wks... got a small crack at the bottom of the tank, sealed it with fingernail polish :) problem solved... but then I started developing small hairline cracks that seem to be originating from where the wick touches the side of the tank. Tonight, the top metal ring that the mouthpiece screws into just snapped off! I haven't dropped it or abused it in anyway, using it on an ego-T batt and vaping KCM from Virgin Vapor. Any ideas on what could cause this? I'm still using it, found a drip tip that fits and kept on vaping! :vapor:
I just received my new ones after having to use a tank (yuck) for a week because mine broke at the neck. I figured I was the one that broke it because I was holding the body of it to take the mouthpiece on and off. I now hold onto the metal ring at the top to remove it so I won't crack that fragile neck. I try not to put it on too tight also.

I'm vaping some MsT's juice now that is pretty thick and it works fine for me. These are the best thing to use for flavor and throat hit for me personally. I do use the low resistance ones though on an ego battery. I plan to never be without one again...hopefully. :)

I actually like the hard draw because it's more like smoking to me. I get tons more vapor with a short, hard draw than I do with any other thing I've used which I had to suck on forever and get a mouthful of juice. I've only used 3 other types though, so I'm no expert.

Oh, I was going to say that I do believe it works a little better with thinner juices, but it still works with the thicker ones. I have not used 100% VG though to know how it works with that. I do have some 100% PG that I add a little VG to and it does seem to work a little better flavor-wise. I get more "crackling" with the thinner juice which I like because it pops little sweetness drops on my tongue. :D

Thanks for the fingernail polish mention...I'll try that if it happens to mine. I immediately thought "super-glue!" when the top broke off mine, but I tossed it. I didn't think of trying to find something else to fit it. I sure didn't want to toss it though and go back to that nasty tasting tank! :)

Well, I got home and went to change flavors and the neck broke off even with me holding the metal piece every time I removed the mouthpiece. I did superglue it this time and it works, but I don't want to have to do that on every one. I went ahead and put superglue around the top of my other one that I haven't used yet. I really, really love these if only they would last. This one broke in just one day. I'm going to try something else. I'm thinking the LR Boge carts. I hear good things about those and they are cheaper. This really sucks I tell ya what! :(

It's the same with a different base for the 808's. They just started those a couple months ago so you don't have to use an adapter. The one I use with the regular EGO's is the 2.1-2.4 ohm version. Awsome vapor. I'll run about half a tank and refill about 4 or 5 times. Then I vape is almost dry and the juice will get dark. Then I wash it out and let it sit for a couple days while vaping another one. Then dry burn it and let it sit again till the other is dark and rotate them again that way.

I just got mine today in the mail.. And now I'm saying I wish I would have just gotten a few of these and a ego battery only, instead of getting the ego - c... The taste is about 5 times better, more vapor, and holds more ejuice. Also ordered the one with led light, which should be delivered any day now.
Now just have to master the art of cleaning it.

I only dry burn them after I've run a half dozen tankfulls. And I only clean them when changing flavors. I run some water in, shake it up, empty and repeat until the wicks are white. Then I flick out as much water as possible and dry burn. I don't even bother lifting the silicone cap anymore. I haven't had a single problem so far except for the cracking tanks.

Having vaped about 5 LR short-wick Stardusts concurrently for over a month now, I too agonized over the cleaning process (which I have only done once a week). Moving up the silicone cap and then replacing it correctly is darn tricky to do. Several posters said you would melt the silicone if you didn't move it out of the way when dry burning them. Today I got a private message from someone here at ECF I deem a considerable expert, and he said he thought moving the silicone was completely unnecessary, and I rejoiced :) Without that ugly process, cleaning and dry-burning them will be a piece of cake.

Even with my infrequent and clumsy cleaning, my 5 are still going strong a month later. They vape just like when they were new (on KGO batteries), and I'm beginning to wonder when I'll have to touch the 5 new ones waiting in the wings. With the over 10 units I and two close friends have used for the past month, we have had not a single crack in a tank. I am a believer that always having held onto the top metal ring helped with that. I also think they perform much better, and fit much nicer, on KGO batteries than on EGO's; I switch to the EGO occasionally, and there is a sizeable lowering of throat hit and vapor volume and thickness. I agree with a previous post in this thread that for me long draws are a giant waste of time and energy. Four seconds is all I need with the Stardusts on the KGO's; anything longer than that is overkill, even with my softer DIY 'fruity' juices (at 16-18 mg. with 60PG-40VG).

I've gotten over a month of everyday use from one using it on an ego-c passthrough. Another one I was rough with and dropped a few times, also tried cleaning that one, and the outside cracked about 3 weeks in. The one that is still going strong originally had coffee flavor. I keep refilling it with another flavor and the coffee has remained dominant though the sweetness has gone away. :)

I just ordered an 510-ego adaptor, can't wait to try it out on different devices.
