Speaking of mods, and to get back on the OP [like it matters] does this TOX measure the ohms of what's screwed into it and if it does do you use that to read watts while vaping? thinking PID Loop here

Nope. Most of what you see in the TOX window is eye candy, heheh. But then, I don't expect anyone else here to agree with that.

If you look at it the right way Charlie, the wicks against the wall for the entire length improves the capillary action. All you have to do is look at one when the juice is about half way down in the tank. Then you will see additional juice clinging to the wick between it and the wall. This juice is doing about the same thing as a very small tube, which is actually the best thing for capillary action.
I know that’s the way it looks but it’s still my theory (and those making Visions with little stubby wicks that don’t even reach the walls) that the surface tension effect of ¾ of the wicks against the wall fights against the juice reaching up to the coil/cup. Somehow you have overcome this with wick/cup/coil modifications because the obsolete Masterpiece did wick well against the wall without tilting.
But it’s my theory that it’s the henway and shiny side in works best too.

Aw heck, Charlie. A stock C-E2 XL straight out of the box can vape the reservoir dry from a vertical position. That is, if it is blessed with one of the few wicks that work exceptionally well. Otherwise, the majority of them begin running dry about 3/4 of the way down. That is not my theory, but observations from multiple tests. The br mods are about 1/4 shorter than an XL, so that's just one of the things that make them work somewhat better.

The Vision can't begin to do that. Not even when it's almost full. Them little stubby wicks work just like a C-E2 with the wicks cut off, heheh. Look at my avatar. I ain't sucking on that thing with the battery pointed up.

I have tested more than one Vision. Also taken them completely apart and analyzed them. They are well built and cost more to produce. I can even see why a lot of people like them. I probably would too if they were easier to fill, could be vaped in any position, didn't produce condensation, had a larger air passage, etc.

Oh, and in an entirely unrelated matter... Chris, any chance of carrying something like a syringe tip screw on dispenser cap that comes with a 'click on' needle cover clear cap (just like the safety cover on syringe)? I've never found those anywhere, and it seems like such a simple concept, to me. lol Even something like the bottle w tiny tethered 'tip cover cap' that came in the Tox kit would be decent. Those might leak in a pocket or purse, but would at least be handy for home filling. I haven't been able to find anything with a very narrow nose that can be 'closed' without messily removing the dispensing tip and losing a lil juice each time, and having to wash tip. The luer lock tip is close, but not quite long and pointy enough for some stuff. I'm guessing if other vapers are anything like me, they might like the ability to 'close' pointy dispenser, too. And as much of the 'clearo tank' type stuff that needs a narrow nose for filling that you carry, figured you'd be the guy to ask. ;) Simple idea... clear 'click on' needle covers for syringe tips. Anything like that a possibility? I'd buy something like screw on syringe tip and cap set by the handful, just to avoid all the 'tip switching' and washing up.

I have and use this. A 18gauge 11/2 B-D needle w/cap works on it as well.

Cartomizer 15ml Bottle Applicator Kit [gotvapes-bottleapplicatorkt-15ml] - $3.79 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

If you look around you can also get 30ml caps for 30ml bottles.

Yup, Krispers actually just showed me that when we were talking about it. I looked at that, but thought the lauer lock was the tiny white/black thing you twist closed. Didn't realize that grey thing could be put on top of the needle, to close it off. That's just perfect for my needs. I have a hard time sucking up 100% vg whilst 'wrastling with a syringe, so that will just make my life easier. Got 3 of em in my cart to check out with when the new Tox show up. lol Can't wait!

Those work OK but you still have to take the needle off and put the cap back on and find a place for the needle when you are out and about.
I have a needle tip bottle cap that just has the needle built into the cap with a silicone sleeve to go over the needle when not in use and its attached at the base of the cap to just slide the sleeve off with my thumb and I am ready yo fill.

I have a couple different filling bottles, and the one from the tox kit is my favorite. I like that it's a plastic nose instead of a metal needle, and that the cap screws on securely and has the sleeve to close it. If we could buy these bottles separately I'm sure I'd snag a bunch of them!

Yep, I've got a ton of the needle screw on caps, but looking more for something closeable. The kit GV has will work great, I just didn't realize it had a thing to close the needle. That's perfect. I'll be grabbing one of those for each f my fave flavors, for sure.

but +1 on the idea of the tox bottles being avail separately. I really thought that one was handy with the tethered cap.

I like the gv luer lock kit, except that it's not very portable...you do have to take the needle off to put the cap on.

Yeah, but if you tape the needle to the side of the bottle with scotch tape, you can slide the needle back in and out of that tape wrinkle for a few days before you need to replace the tape.

I wouldn't recommend that you or anyone else read that entire thread because of all the useless jabber, but some of the ideas we had back then were used in the development of the C-E2. Not only that, but ALL of the clear type cartomizers on the market today can be traced back to this thread.

Ummm... You and Bad may have invented the C-E2, but Apple patented it! Get your lawyer on!

...anyone with a head issue please make a ticket, once they arrive wew ill ship them out....

I've had my TOX for about a week now and so far I like it. I was kind of scared to move over to a tube mod because of size but it turns out its really not bad at all. My only gripes are:

1. Some times it does not fire.
2. Everything resets on its own sometimes with the batts still in.
3. I can put this damn thing down.

I know Bad said fixes are coming in for 1&2 but I'm gonna need another arm to fix 3.

Sent from my Vision TOX with my Stardust!!!

ok just spoke to factory 5 minutes ago, they are finishing up the heads, on a 2.8 ohm atty they got it to 5.8 under load, a 1.7 LR can only go to 4.6 before it cuts off. metal heads are being formed and ill let you know when they are ready to ship

Is it to late to file a ticket or did I miss that train? If so how much for the metal head?:vapor:

I know you're working this out and probably tired of the same questions sry to be a PITA :vapor:

You Posted the first thread on issues with the Tox if I remember correctly.
Anyhow I am under the impression that he knows who most of us are with issues, and when the New heads come in he will get them to us right away.
To be safe ,I would pm him to make sure he knows that you do have issues tho.

Much to my disappointment, I have filed a help desk ticket. My Cannon was failing to fire around 1 out of every twenty or so button presses. I thought I could live with it, (I hate to be a squeaky wheel) but it is getting worse. Bad, I must say, you guys are handling this hiccup with grande professionalism, and if every thing else you guys do hadn't already made me a life-long customer, this certainly would. (Now you just have to start selling DIY supplies, and I wouldn't have to shop anywhere else)

With the advancements in equipment that GotVapes is making, we have VV now, fluxos are amazing, DC Tanks, the inimitable Grande, amazing juice.... the only things I buy elsewhere are DIY, and specialty items like handblown tips and such. 90% of my purchases are GV. Thank you, Bad and Danno for all that you do.

If it were me, I'd go ahead and set up a ticket with my link to your issues comments. I'm sure you are on the list already, but that way you are in the help desk system where all this stuff is run through. Since they haven't sent out the new heads I'm sure that there are still options.

I'm getting a good number of misfires on my TOX, but I don't know whether to blame it on the micro switch or myself. The switch button is almost flush with the case, so maybe I'm just not always pressing it correctly. I'm sure they designed it this way to prevent accidental activation while not in use, but that's hardly necessary since the 5 click turn off does the same thing.

I can live with an occasional misfire, but the flush button has been a real PITA. Ordinarily I can easily find the button of other type batteries by feel, but I can't with this one without having to fumble around to locate it. It's worse than the button on a KR808-D battery, and I know that's why some people have had occasional misfires on it.

So I believe the button on this thing ought to stick out further in order to make things a bit easier for an old man like myself. I don't really mind some of the other faults with with this battery, but THIS IS THE GREATEST GRIPE I HAVE WITH IT.
