I asked Eric on the Discount Vapers forum if the new eVod/Protank coils would fit the V-Tox. This was his reply.

My son has a brand new V-Tox and I gave him a Kanger Evod, Protank coil 2.2 ohm which was purchased from Discount Vapors and it was too long and did not fit.

I like the idea posted before of just changing out the stems.

The V tox and EVOD made me give up my cartos :p

Has anyone tried cleaning the replacement coils?

I've got a couple soaking in some vodka. I'm thinking about boiling them in some water later.

I rinse my coils under hot water every 2 or 3 days. I've also started dryburning the coils when the vapor production and throat hit drop. I tried soaking coils is vodka, but it didn't seem to do much.

I rinse under hot water every two or three fills, and dry burn as needed.

Of course, you really need to remove the air tube and flavor wicks to see what you're doing with the dry burn. Once it's all cooked off, I'll rinse again and let dry.

I use 100% cotton yarn, one full strand, to replace the flavor wicks. Cotton wicks well and is cheap and easy to find.

Personally, I haven't been impressed with a vodka soak. Unless I drink all the vodka, and then it all looks good

I bought a 5 pack of these with 5 replacement heads for 27 bucks on eBay. No "windows" like the mt3.

I've had no problems except some popping sounds when the juice is really full and the draw is a tad airy for me.

Other than that, great vapor, flavor and TH. The vape is a bit cool though. I don't mind. I still get the TH. I plan on rebuilding these with 2mm Ekowool and 32g kanthal which should make them even more awesome.

I actually prefer the T3S over the MT, for that same reason. Some like the added strength of the metal cover.

Try plugging one of the air holes in the base, if you want to stiffen up the draw.

Or, if you also have some VTox heads, try one of those. They - at least the one's I have! - have a smaller inside diameter on the air tube than the Kanger heads.

Interesting, someone said the v tox is a cold vape. I just unpacked mine from DV and it seems pretty warm.
Mine comes with the 1.8 ohm coil and is cranking out some warm 100 % vg clouds. I usually just use a Vivi Nova 2.5 on my SVD which has been my main fave for vaping. But at work I had been using 400 mah twist and a Kanger T2 just to keep a low profile and poketable PV. The T2s always struck me as tempermental seeming to get a little clogged and requiring a bit of a quick burn off to unclog it. The V Tox seems to not have that problem. It being a very short period of usage I may not see that consistancy in the long run but it looks promising.
I also decided to try out the iClear 30s for the SVD and it also looks promising very consistant, glad I finally got around to BCCs.

In general, will similar resistance coils, BCCs tend to vape a little cooler than TCC. But a lot of things can change that.

My VTox has a smaller ID on the air tube, so it's draw is tighter. Since that slows down the air flow, there's more time to boil the juice. And the thicker cloud holds more warmth. :2c:

I've found coil life between dryburns to be typical of them all, no preference there. 1.8 is 1.8, etc..

I like the V-Tox. It's a nice clearo that worked right off the bat with the thickest VG liquid I have - no fuss, no dry hits, just works. The vape is nice and warm for a BCC, probably because it's small and all plastic.

Incidentally, I got mine as part of the Vision BBC Express kit: for $20, you get a 350 mAh battery, a V-Tox clearo, a USB charger and a little cigarette case-like box to fit it all in. This kit looks smart and it works fantastic! I've ordered 5 more of them to give out as gifts, along with a bottle of juice, to smoker friends. For that price, it's a great way to convert someone to vaping.

Oh and yeah, the name sucks. "V-Tox" sounds like something out of Bhopal. That's too bad, because it's a good little clearo :(
