Just got my newest order in: AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Vision Clearomizer - AltSmoke

I purchased all 2.8 heads, since I have a twist. I enjoyed the old stardusts so much that I ordered enough parts to have 6 stand alone tanks, with 14 replacement heads. Wasn't really all that expensive....considering I've gotten nearly two months out of a few of my stardusts with minimal cleaning, I expect this shipment to last awhile.

So far, these clearomizers rock. With the 2.8 ohm, set around 4.2 volts, it makes huge amounts of dense, just-the-right temp vapor. I vape 30% VG, 24mg. Flavor is very clean. Nice TH. So far, no issues at all with leaking onto the battery, even if I let the tank sit on its side. I had this issue with the older stardusts, not yet with these. I'm very impressed...the Kanger T2 didn't work well for me. These, to me, feel / vape like a much better piece of equipment. Of course, it can't hold much juice, but that's not an issue. Two fills a day max for me.

Seems to use a large amount of juice, but that's to be expected.

One oddity -- the head that came on the complete clearomizer has two wicks total. One large wick, and a thinner wick. The replacement heads only have a single wick strung across the coil.

Anyway, if you're not satisfied with the Kanger, I recommend these. Best vaping yet, IMHO.

Oh...and I don't know about taking them out and about. I still go back to my mega dual coil carts for anything outside of the house :)

Hi Yinzer, ive been using my Vision 2.0, Alt calls them 3, for 8 days now and like so far. You got a nice price on them also. I took the one apart and cleaned it when i got it and noticed 7 nice wraps of coil wire....i thought wow, that looks nice. I haven't had any leaks on the battery like i have with the V2 that im also using. The wick is also one bigger on mine- different than the V2. The Kanger T2 that ive been using for over a month, im also very happy with. With the Kanger, its a must to clean everything before using it the first time.

Yinzer... my situation is similar to yours... I still drip... for juice that does not clog up atties... but otherwise I bought 7 official Vision 2.0s (officially by Vision they are called Vision Ego 2.0 Clearomizers... but a lot of vendors call then V3... and still others... call them V2), with the V on them, and then I also got 7 clones (without the V) so I got 14 of these total that I can tell which one is which for my various juices.

Yeah, like yourself I really do not want anything bigger... like the 2.4 ml Kanger.

There is a wide variety of clones out there and that probably explains why you got heads with only 2 wicks. My main vendor for these is Rocky Mountain Vapor... which is more expensive when you look at it at first ($2.60 a head in the 5-pack) but the free shipping on any order over $14 more than makes up for that. I also got heads from Avid Vapor, Discount Vapers and Vapor Kings, and in all 4 cases the wick setup was the same as in the official Visions and the clones as well... 4 wicks.

Hmmmm... I just took a look at Discount Vapers and they are now selling a head for the Vivi Nova that advertises 'one fat long wick' so, maybe what you got is a new thing. Let us know how it compares in practice to the 4 wicked heads.

LOL... I got this one head from Discount Vapors that had EIGHT wicks. Supposedly this works on the 2.0s and also the Vivi Novas... but the wicks were shorter than normal 2.0 heads and I thus have never tried it. Yeah, DV no longer sells this one for some reason.

I have an Ego-C Twist but have decided (I guess) to stick with the normal Egos and, for those the 1.8 ohm heads are best... as if they are specifically designed for the Ego. I tried some 2.4s on this setup and was less vapor and not any more flavor.

The knocks on the Vision 2.0s are the tightness of draw and the 'muted' flavor, and IMO it is not severe but I just tried a simple mod to alleviate this... and that is... just remove the silicon cap and nipple. Then put it back together and vape and.... seemed to lighten the draw up for sure and seemed to give better flavor but I just tried this for the first time tonight so, need to try it some more. Yeah, you have to be careful that you don't get a mouthfull of juice but that seems easy for me. If you or anyone else decides to give this a try let me know how it goes.

Yeah, maybe we should start a Vision Ego 2.0 club or something.

Hi Z,
I see why the vendors call them V3, V2 and 2.0. I could very easily call them any of those after going to the Visionecigar web site.
I just went through this wick ? with the Kanger T2 and i see the same thing happening with Visions newest stuff. AltSmoke and VaporKings are both on Visions offical distributors list, as is Hoosier E-CIG where i got my Vivi Novas. But, my 2.0 came from VaporCigzz.com and does have the "V", and i believe to be genuine. The unit came with 1 large wick. I just put it back together after cleaning and dry-burn, and i added a loose flavor wick over the coil. I did this to my Kanger T2 and it seems to be working well, so i decided to try this on the 2.0 since there is only 1 wick. I have been using V2 since july and am happy with them, but on one i did drill a small hole in the base to improve air flow ......it works, but i still need to fine tune it when i get the time.

What do you use as a loose flavor wick? I can tell that the V3 I just started using (with what I imagine to be a "loose flavor wick" in addition to the other wick) has wonderful flavor vs. the version 2 stardust. Especially with sweet flavors. I am vaping a mix of boysenberry / almond / cupcake in the V3 tank now....and it's amazing. The replacement heads don't have this, and perhaps I can add one in.

I'm still a huge fan of the ego mega dual carts, by the way. I dunno why...I take them with me outside of the house. My tanks stay home :)

If you look through the VisionCigar website.... you will see they had a Vision V1 Ego Clearomizer, then a V2 and then a V3. The V1 was their initial offering and then in the V2 they added the 7 colors and then in the V3, they added the longer wicks and better plastic so the tubes would not crack.

But, these are their clearomizers WITHOUT the replacable heads. Most of the Vendors that are still selling these are calling them V2s but Vision is calling them V3s.

Then there are the Vision clearomizers with the replacable heads. Vision calls them Vision Ego 2.0 clearomizers but most of the vendors out there are selling clones but calling then Vision clearomizers (not sure if the clone makers are licensed or not) and calling them V3. Then there is VaporKings and LightCigUSA, which are selling the official Vision clearomizers but they are calling them V2s (talk about confusion). The only place that I have seen that is selling the official Vision clearomizers and calling them 2.0, is Discount Vapers, but of course they are mostly selling the Thor clone which is cheaper.

Then there are the 'official clones'... like Thor and also Crystal Vision which is what Avid Vaper calls their clone... and who knows what else is out there as this may just be scratching the surface. The thing is, Vision came out with a good product and every Tom, 'Richard', and Harry is jumping on it.

The thing that is good about this, is you probably are not going to be seeing a 'Bogegate', where Boge changed the structure of their very popular cartomizer and now they don't work as well and everybody that was using them is going berserk. With the Vision 2.0 clearomizers, there are so many clones out there that if Vision changes (like, going to a single wick... which may be better but may be worse), then you should always be able to get what you want from one clone maker or another.

Yeah, I have heads that are official Vision (from Vapor Kings), clone (Rocky Mountain Vapor), Thor, and Crystal Vision and... they are all identical as far as I can tell... and you can use all of them on the bases of any of the above. The only difference here is if you want short wicks (some people preferred the short wicks), you can get those from Avid Vaper which also sells the long wick version.

Ug, whatever.

I've been using the clearo's for close to 3 mos I guess.
The first ones I tried were great, i loved them, so much so i put my tanks away.

Then, they got bigger??, and had thr pretty colors, us girls like pretty colors.

Just recently in a co-op I got several "discontiuned" clearo's which were listed as v3.

I can't get the hubz to put them down now..

Now, I have the (V2,V3.V4 ??) with heavy duty metal and it all unscrews, they have replaceable heads.
Here's my issue

someone said something about fruit juices in these tanks.
I did use some fruit juice in the latest version clearo and it almost pitted, or marred the finish of the tank.!!!
It didnt crack, just it's not a clearo anymore, lolol
It did vape nicely tho- can I still use it or is it going to break , I mean did the juice weaken it where it could crack or break, whereas it would be strong using and carrying it the same as before???

I have another questions,

I have another same batch, that has been tasting burnt. plenty of juice, the wicks are wet, ive rolled the juice around the tank to make sure the juice is getting to the wires. after that i get a couple good hits, but then it starts to get burnt tasting again.

I have turn the volts down to 3.3 from my usual 4.2 perfect volt vapeage. and still tastes burnt.

is it time to change the wick head? it's not even dirty yet, no burn marks on the wicking
advice please.....

If it is tasting burnt... it probably means the wicks are not getting the juice to the coil.

One thing you can do, is 'fluff up' the wicks. Take the thing apart and twist the wick in the opposite direction near where it goes into the head. Push in a bit and what not. In other words, try to make the wick a bit thicker and maybe that will allow the juice to flow better.

Another thing, is if the silicone cap is down too tight it could push down on the wick and restrict the juice flow. Losening this up a bit might help. I have heard in some cases people losening up the mouthpiece so it doesn't push down so hard... I have tried this and it seemed to help. However, I myself am moving in the direciton of removing the silicone caps completely and that makes this moot.

Otherwise, if your juice is too thick (high VG%) that could cause the juice not to flow well.

Hope this helps.

Hi Yinzer, i got the idea from skelley. I preboiled a bunch of different, mostly cotton, items for when i start recoiling and rewicking. When we were discovering that some Kanger T2's had flavor wicks laying loosely over the coil, and some didn't, i just layed a loose piece of embroidery floss [cotton, that you need to remove when you dry burn] over the coil and maybe 3 inches long to reach to the bottom of tank. Doing this has caused no problems for me so far, and even with dead taste buds, im noticing some flavor improvement.

Hi sugismimi, ive had one Vision v2 cloud up and its been 2 wks and it hasn't cracked or leaked yet. It may last a long time like that.
If its new, did you clean it before first use? If its new, was it always like that?
