I've had my Vivi Nova 2.5 for about a week and a few problems have come up. I was wondering if any of you guys have also had these problems, and if so, know how to fix them

1. The silicone cap is not making a perfect seal with the top cap. Sometimes one side will get squished over the atomizer head or the top of the cap will cave in, allowing juice to go into the mouthpiece and assembly.

2. Vapor is leaking out of the holes where the wicks are and into the tank. It gets to the point where any part of the tank that doesn't have juice in it is completely filled with vapor.

Also, there's no gurgling sound when I take a draw so I don't think there's an airflow problem, but particularly the silicone cap is an issue for me as it makes me nervous to turn the tank on its side or upside down.

Thanks for the help!

Vivi nova 2.5 funny, vision, the original manufacturer only has a second version out that I have zero issues with. I think you got some knock off if they are calling it a 2.5 but who knows , vendors make up versions like there is no to.morrow to have us believe it is the newest thing. Good luck with it, hope you figure it out. I would send it back.

I've had my vision vivi nova 2.5 from gotvapes for about a month, and haven't run into those problems, or any other yet. Wonder if fiddling with the silicone cap will make it work, like maybe the cap isn't pressed down tight enough or something. Maybe try taking the cap from another atomizer head and putting it on the one you're using, or try out another head to see if it's just one causing issues.

I'm pretty sure that #2 is caused by #1. I never had vapor in my tank but I cut a small slit into the silicone where the wicks enter, in an attempt to get better juice flow, and now I'm getting vapor in the tank as well. I believe if that cap is sealed properly over the atty that you should not be getting vapor in the tank.

#2 hasn't happened to me. I'm not sure what would cause it other than #1.

#1………well, the point of the cap is to create a seal. As a result, it's slightly longer than it strictly needs to be to account for manufacturing tolerances. The idea is that the top cap pushes down on it hard enough to just barely compress it, making the seal. But, because you screw it on, it can get "dislodged" and nudged over to one side (or another).

On r/ecr, one person recommended sticking something (that won't cut/puncture it…like a q-tip) in where the drip tip goes into the top cap and just pushing the silicone thing over so it makes a better seal. That could probably solve both of your problems. I haven't had mine get bad enough not to make a seal, but it does get pushed to one side quite often……I usually just take the top off and put it back on until it seats right.

I'd give one of those a try……let us know if it fixed your problem.

Thanks for the advice, glad to know I'm not the only one this is happening to. I also figured out that you can push the cap further down so it hugs more of the atomizer, and with that I've noticed I don't get any of the dislodging. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that's a). good for the tank or b). creating the seal I want.

First of all, welcome!

As someone who has been there and tried it, I *can't* recommend a Vivi Nova to a new-ish user. If you already have one, and it seems to be working for the most part, you'll probably be ok... but I have had nothing bur problems with my two. Many other people have had so many different issues that I no longer recommend these units to anyone, much less someone who is new-ish to vaping in the first place. They have a number of design flaws, and need modification to function properly over a period of time.

Again, though, I welcome you to the forums, and wish you luck- if it's working for you, then keep on using it! If not, I would be willing to recommend at least 5 other cheap-ish, simple systems that work better out-of-the-box.

Last time I checked gotvapes is not the manufacturer, when vision comes out with a another version then it will be another version, until then its just a tank that works.:) who cares what version it is.

Straight from GotVapes website:

http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=151_163&products_id=740

"NOTICE: THESE ARE GENUINE VISION PRODUCTS & NOT KNOCK OFF PRODUCT LIKE MANY SITES SELL!!THE NEW V2.5 HAS THE AIRHOLES IN THE CONNECTOR ABOVE THE THREADS. WE HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE PICTURES HERE. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN A TICKET SAYINg YOU RECEIVED THE OLD VERSION. WE HAVEN'T HAD NOR HAVE THEY MANuFACTURED THE OLD VERSION IN MONTHS. AGAIN, THE AIRHOLES ARE IN THE CONNECTOR ABOVE THE THREADING. THANKS! "

Are you accusing them of lying? Your going to have to provide better proof of just implying it.

As I understand it, Vision is a distributer (of quality products, that is why they charge more), not a manufacturer. The first version Vivi Nova had the air hole on the bottom knurled part (and leaked). It also had 2 wicks in the coil and 1 wick on top of the coil. Version 2 moved the air hole to the sides of the 510 connection. GotVapes claims the 2.5 version (their number for it) has better grade plastic in the tanks and the long wick heads (4 wicks for the 2.4 heads). They used 2.5 because they claim improvements over the version 2, but not a new version. I agree, when version 3 comes out it will be something that is a major change.

As for the leaking. Take it completely apart. Push the center pin of the 510 connection up into the base slightly (just a bit). Then screw the head into position ensuring that it pushes the center pin back down into position. There should be no gap between the head and the part it screws into. Put the silicon sleeve (with the metal shield in it, open end toward the coil) onto the head. There is a ridge it should fit against when it is completely seated. Replace the tank and fill. When replacing the top piece, watch the silicon sleeve to ensure that it doesn't turn when you tighten it. It should not leak!

Thank you for the welcome! Although I'm new to the forums I've actually been vaping for a few months, it's just that I recently decided to buy a vivi nova. It's a shame that there's so many problems with them, but I can only assume it's due to the fact that it's still quite a new technology. In regards to the cheaper alternatives, I also have a kanger t2 and an ego tankomizer which are far more reliable tanks, but I can't deny that the vivi nova produces better clouds and taste.

I have not had a problem with any of my vivi novas, it is probably the easiest thing I have used..

Ditto... I have ordered all mine from Madvapes. V 2.5 and not a single issue. Have been vaping the same ones for a month and a half or two months now. Changed the heads once, is all, and just ordered more replacement heads.
