Well! after reading all day long about the Vivi Nova, you´ve sold me on it. I´m going to get the v 2.5, here my vendor has it labeled as 3, but I´ll talk to him about it.

I stumbled upon a post about rinsing the wicks with hot water and dry burning before first use. Some trimmed the wicks. Can anybody tell me exactly what I have to do before I screw it up? Thanks!

all i simply did with both of mine was disassemble and take the little plastic cover off the top of the head, put 2 drops on it, quick 4or5 second dry burn, replace cap and put the tank back on. fill put top cap back on and vape away.

mine had no shipping primer on it so i saw no need to rinse it off before use. when ever i change flavors, i do the rinse, and same set steps again, 2 drop prime, dry burn and fill. works great with both the 1.0 and 2.0

Just got and set up my vivi nova, LR short wick. didn't smell like there was any primer on it so i set it up, let the juice soak for a good half hour and....nothing! I'm getting 0 vape and 0 flavour and I can hear an air rushing sound. I'm convinced something is wrong with it. any suggestions?

It makes noise when you push the button? Are you only hearing an air rushing sound when you take a drag?

What device are you using it on and which head is installed?

I've got 3 of them and they've been ready to go after filling. I trimmed the wicks at first, but it just became one extra thing that didn't make a big difference (to me).

I hear the air sound when i take a drag....
yup, short wicks are soaked, with all the plastic/parts attached properly....
Using it on a standard eGo 1000mah. In the same shipment i also got the Kanger/T2 clearo and it's worked amazingly right away....did I get a dud vivi?! agh!
I could try swapping out the atty head and seeing if it's just a dud atty?

just noticed that there's juice all over the inside metal part (when u take the drip tip off and look into it). That wasn't there when I assembled it....I'm gonna take it apart and clean it all and try again. don't you hate when you rush home from work to try out a new piece of gear and it fails you right away!? I'm not giving up yet though...

might have overfilled it. so with the tiny wicks, is the idea to fill it up, say, halfway, screw everything together and then flip it around so the juice actually gets to the wicks? those wicks are TINY!

Sounds like you flooded it and the best thing to do is what you did. Take her all apart and clean the snot out of it. Reassemble, refill, and give it another go. You ought to be able to fill it up to the top mark with no troubles. As long as your wicks stick out the side they shouldn't cause the flooding. Report back.
