Hi everyone! Got an issue with my lavatube+vivi nova set. I've just made a rebuild using nichrome wire and a new wick. And my VV now stops vaping after a second i push the button. I push - it vipes for a second and stops. I push again - it vipes for 0.9 seconds and stops. I push again - it vipes for 0.8 etc. What could make this bad stuff happen?

What ohms is your rebuilt vivi and what voltage do you have the lt on?
You should use kanthal instead of nichrome.

Check the resistance of the coil and make sure you don't have a short.

Kanthal is much better. The resistance is higher from what I can tell. Instead of Iron it uses aluminum. I use 32 gauge.
You may find this useful. This XL spread sheet will calculate the length of wire for a specified Ohms reading you want.

OP, my guess is either an intermittent short or a really low resistance coil. Do you have anything that can measure the resistance of the coil?
Thanks for the answers, guys!) I don't have an ohmmeter will try to get one soon. Also i've made another attempt and VV refused to vape at all 
Lava works fine with my old carto, so I don't think i have a short. I checked the wires not to to touch each other and positive wire not to touch the wall of the
vaping head wall.
If i have low resistance, how can i fix it? They sell only nichrome wires here, where i live.
And one more question. When i'm making a coil how much space approximately do i have to leave between every loop of it? They must not touch each other, right?

i've fixed it! :dance: there was a hole in the isolation silicon cap between the '+' pole and '-' edge ... so stupid
