Vision made the original Vivi Nova. There are now many no-name or rebranded versions now on the market. Unless the vendor specifically states it is a genuine Vision Vivi Nova or displays an image with the Vision product, I would assume it is a knock-off. You can always inquire to the vendor prior to purchasing for confirmation.

For example, Altsmoke repackages genuine Vision Vivi Nova's with their Altsmoke logo, but clearly state that it is a genuine Vision product.

Mine seems to be a knock-off. It just came in a small black box with a foam insert containing the tank and two heads. For what its worth, it seems to be working fine.

Mine came in a black box with the Vision Vivi Nova logo on the side. The V in Vision has a couple of red slashes inside the right side of the V. The fpoam insert has an elastic loop to pull the foam out with.

The Vivi Nova does have some copycatting going on. Most of them have different threads than the real thing and that keeps the parts such as heads from being used back and forth. You want to look for the Vision designation when you buy. Gotvapes is one vendor who has the real thing as well as the knockoffs. I understand that some of the versions are equal to the real thing, but I have only tried the Vision model. Why mess with success?

Anyone have problems with the nova with 2.4 head on a twist? it seems when I'm at 4.8 to about 4.0 i get a plastic kind of taste. Is that too little resistance?

I vape a 2.4 ohm head at 3.7v on my Provari. When I get to 4v or above it starts to get a little harsh and weak tasting. You could call it burned plastic and be close.

I ordered a backup Vision Vivi Nova along with 4 spare heads from Gotvapes the other day. It was a couple of bucks cheaper than the one I ordered from Madvapes but the Madvapes Nova came in a Vision logo box with one head installed and two spares in the foam insert. Gotvapes mentioned that they were out of Vision VV tanks and were substituting A-clear, a clone that works well. It came in a plastic bag with only the installed head.

It works OK, but has the 4 wick array instead of the large single rope wick. It doesn't perform quite as well as the one from MV. The one from MV would vape well until it was at least 2/3 empty. This one loses flavor at the halfway point. I can't tell the difference between the two other than one vapes with more flavor and vapor than the other. Markings and construction are identical on both. I'm thinking that maybe I got a bulk packed Vision Vivi Nova from Gotvapes that didn't come with the extra atomizers for $2 less. I'm thinking I'd rather pay $2 more and get two extra heads and a box. Different resistances don't matter. I can reduce the voltage to compensate on my Provari.
