I'm lucky in that I only purchased one model before I found out about the VK. I'm even luckier that I figured out that the 510 was NOT for me on about day 3 of using it, and that the vendor I got it from had an excellent return policy as long as it was returned within 15 days of receipt of product, so I was able to send it back for a full refund.

The fact of the matter is that, for me, if 3-piece models were the only things out there, I would have given up on vaping, period. I simply can't stand to fuss and fiddle with an e-cig when I need a hit. Some people DO enjoy tinkering, and for them, a different model would be fine. It's just not for me, and, judging by the popularity of the VK, not for many others, either. So, when a newbie wants recs, I steer them to what I know and love, the same as I do with any other product on the market. If I love it, I recommend it, pure and simple.

I agree, and that's where i was at with my 901 when i got a VK. I then started thinkin cheap and bought blister pack cartomizers from 4 different suppliers (not all blister packed however some came in other containers) and not a one of them measured up. Marl, menthol (harsh as nails from a couple brands) coconut, and not the least of which: Pineapple. You line up a VK pineapple against the top 4 other cartomizer manufacturers (not all 4 have pineapple) and you'll get a surprise.

I like..in fact i LOVE to do things as cheaply as possible, and i endeavor to be a tightwad every day. I've discovered that V4L's cartomizers are different, and have a lot of varieties tested in comparison to verify the fact..and i CONTINUE to try to out cheap cartomizers...and I KEEP failing. I havn't given up yet...but Ive not found one of the cheapos that can hold a candle to the genuine article. :( ...yeah thats a sadface, cause my heritage tells me its possible, but my experience keeps slappin me in the face.

I'd also like to point out that even people who have a knack for gettin their 901/801/510 functioning flawlessly for more than 4 minutes still usually have to drive somewhere..and thats another place that cartomizers really shine. Darn hard to drip and drive, and swappin cartomizers out is way safer than tryin to refill a cart on the road. Some things require a little more attention than you can divide between it and your e-cig. Idiot proof..thats the Vapor King.

Yep. I was in the car when it became *crystal clear* that the 510 was not for me. I'd been on the fence about it, but then I happened to be in the car on my way to work, and I needed to drip on the atty (filling the 510 carts hadn't worked for me from day one. An exercise in futility.). It was either pull over on the highway, or light up an analog. I lit up an analog. That was it for me for the 510. ;)

First there was driving while texting. Now it's driving while dripping. Neither can be all that safe.

Well I wish I would have had been told about the kr808d-1/VK when I started vaping. I'm down $3000 since I started vaping ( I know that because my non smoking, non vaping, husband has a calculator...dang it). I followed every thread, looking for that holy grail of vaping, and with the FDA looming I stocked up. I found myself still grabbing an occasional cig for convenience sake.

I set up my sons and their wives with 901s and juice, but and as everyone here knows it gets tiresome dealing with the upkeep. I noticed my sons were smoking again. The oldest is Sargent in the air force and the youngest is a semi truck driver, their lifestyles don't fit in with fiddling and unfortunately they turned off on vaping all together.:(

About a month ago I started with cartomizers and I don't want anything else. So in my opinion you are doing someone a great favor by recommending the 2 piece units to them, please keep at it to save someone from getting frustrated and returning to the ease of cigs.

As to vendors, well Steve is great and so are the others I use. I will go where I get the best product at the best price, period. Steve's warranty is excellent. I have never had to use it though, as all of my equipment from V4L works flawlessly.

Here's how i explain it to locals:

Smoking analogs: convenient, easy, simple, reliable

Smoking Roll-your-owns: cheap..terribly inconvenient

901/801/510/etc.etc 3 piece units = roll your owns

KR808d-1 = tailor mades (pre rolled for you young pups...pack smokes)

Vapor King = Brand name tailor mades...like Marlboro versus Royals or those Plain white packs with black lettering that says:"Cigarettes"

OK, I'm a new user and I have to say I was pretty confused when researching what to buy. I spent a good bit of time here on this forum as well as tried to find other forums to research on. Most others looked like stuff set up to look like a forum but were actually ads for one brand or another. I don't buy into that crap. I want to hear from real users. I also tried 2 times to test the 510 from a local seller.. The thing didn't work. I wanted an e-cig to quit smoking analogs and the last thing I needed was frustration. finally I read reviews here on many brands as well as watched utube vids. My final decision was made for 2 reasons. 1 the V4L worked well and 2 The company had good customer service with great user reviews.
I ordered and got lots of extra flavors which a new user really appreciates as it lets me try different flavors without buying whole packs that I didn't like.
I also had a small problem with a battery which was replaced without question.
I have to say I am very happy with my new V4L and have no reason whatsoever to try anything different.
Customers raving about this product is what I needed and without it I may still be on analogs..yuck.
I did not want or need to be sorting through truths and lies to make a choice.
Thank you all for your reviews and for raving about this product and company, you may have saved my life....literally.

Last Outlaw this is exactly why we are here, each and every one of us! Something worked for us! ANd we want to help others!

Personally I will never bash another supplier ( that is just bad taste)
Sure there are suppliers out there to make a quick buck off of a new enterprise, some go a little further and belive in their product, and SOME stand behind their product ( this is true of any goods for sale)
Who does what is pretty evident, I would think!
Personally everytime I reply to the newbie forum I get slammed for having an opnion and right here on our own forums we get slammed
I'm not sure what anyone says in other forums because I don't go there. I found my product/s that I like and that work for me! And if people ask, or if it is on subject, then I will respond.

Really? I'm in a cult??? Hmm, so be it. Because if believing in a tried and true product and the people who take the effort to back it with a no questions asked warranty makes a V4L'er a cult member, induct me baby!

I too haunted the forums like mad. Tried 3 different systems (spent a whole lot of money that I could have happily spent with V4L) and thanfully, found this forum. Made my first order and haven't looked back since. If it wasn't for the people here and their comments on how wonderful the product and V4L is, I would still be searching.

As for the trolls, well, I always read past them. Just sorry little minded people who enjoy getting a rise out of others. Bornagainst, you and JenJen are my heroes.

:(I agree with you Bornagainst as far as the 901 and all the steps you have to go through to get it to work. I ordered a 901 on the Nov. 30th and have had nothing but problems. It worked for 2 whole days correctly. The supplier is giving me a hard time about returning it. He has a 14 day return policy of which I notified him on Dec. 12th. He has given me a run around in regard to returning the kit or the batteries which seem to be duds. I'm not sure if it's the charger that is not working correctly to charge the batteries, so he has agreed to send me a new charger this one time and to return the old one. He stated that if I flooded the batteries he will not give me a refund. Also, there is a 15% restocking fee if returned. I didn't expect this to be such a dissapointing experience. I took the referral from a friend that has a 510 she ordered from him and said how nice he was. Anyone can be nice on the internet to get your money, but it depends on their customer service policies and how well they back it up. I only wish I had read a list of the favorite and most reputable vendors first. I will take it from the majority that V4L is the best and I haven't even received my new kit yet!

V4L is the only company on the forums that has people running around with huge banners advertising the company that troll any topic that say "newbie want to know what to buy"

Nope. I've seen people with Nhaler banners, eastmall banners, totally wicked banners, etc. I just happen to think the V4L one is pretty, and list all the ones I own underneath.

Unlike with other e-cigs where the posters recommend the type, such as in your case a DS808 whatever, then suggest a retailer, you guys try to confuse the newbie into buying a VK, as if its some different product.

Actually, I've recommended both. I happen to use the 510 almost all the time. I like tinkering. Friends who like tinkering get recommended the 510. Friends who don't and just need something easy to quit get recommended the KR808D-1, I just happen to say the V4L model is one of the nicest packaged and branded units and cases, and has impeccable customer service.

I've seen a number of other members outline the pros and cons of both types, and state the model is available elsewhere.

This forum is a free exchange of users, and not a medium for advertising.

"ad·ver·tis·ing

We aren't paid.

Everyone here in this 'free exchange' is giving their opinion, perhaps with a modicum of experiential advice. I'm certainly glad for the opinions and experienced advice of members I've received in the short time I've been vaping. I've found some great products, mods, cases, juices, etc from you all and I certainly don't want people to stop sharing their opinion. No matter what it is.

Holy rebirthed ancient threads, BatMan!

:D

I was semi-accused the other day of being a V4L "cheerleader". I have absolutely no qualms about recommending the product and the company. Before I ordered, I read so many posts where people tried X, Y and Z and were frustrated by malfunctioning equipment, short battery life, lousy taste, etc. and had finally settled on a Vapor King. So I decided to try V4L first, and I'm delighted that I did. My troubles thusfar have been limited to one carto with bad threads and a few perfumey cartos - a small inconvenience in my book.
